My guess is, is Streamyx or Unxfx already available in your area? If it already available they probably using back old pole (they won't bother to install new pole). Then this high chances is Allo TNB pole

Those poles look more like TNB Allo utility poles.

TM poles are usually shorter and smaller in diameter.

If the back lane already have existing TM poles that is used for streamyx cable then TM will hang their fiber cable on the same pole.

This is psychology and attempt to prevent lost of sales lead.

Even if the poles belong to some other operators/utility company they will not admit it because they don't want potential future customers to wait for Allo instead if good news breaks out.

Just like many dishonest stores/mini markets around my area. When you ask them if they stock certain brands of items instead of them saying honestly that no we don't stock such brand they'd go on and say this brand? We already ran out of stock, come back next time!

Why they do so, it's because they don't want to close any future opportunity for you from returning to his shop in future and turning you down leaving you with bad impression on their part.

Bro... I advise you that you wait them install the pole first and see which company is installing fiber. Wait patiently...

Hi, recently TM's and Allo's FDP boxes have been installed around my house (4 Allo FDPs and 1 TM's), and UniFi sent some agents to my Taman to collect registrations and etc.

My question is, to those who've subscribed to Allo, or TM, or have experience with both services, how is the stability and uptime?

I am just concerned with the downtime for either service, but honestly that shouldn't be a big concern since I have my backup LTE lines, but still, which is the more stable of the two?

I waited year after year for unifi then suddenly popup now but no longer interested. If unifi popup 2 years when the offer still good I would grab it. Now more interest in allo I can wait.

Hi guys, Allo 500mbps user here. I've been a silent lurker here for some time now. It's been exactly one week since installation. Been waiting for TM Unifi for years but now I'm a happy Allo customer, after stuck with Streamyx 1mbps since 2009.

Long story short: Sept 2020 poles appeared behind my house, TM agents comes knocking stating Unifi coming soon. Eventually Allo FDP boxes were installed on those new poles followed by fiber cable. TM agent called saying Unifi is delayed and suggest alternate option, Allo. After doing some research and knowing its prices, I immediately canceled my Unifi application and opted Allo instead. Previously I was interested in Unifi 100mbps but with Allo can get 500mbps. Just before CNY received email confirming my subscription. And installation was exactly one week ago.

Service had been fine for this past week. Imagine going from 1mbps to 500mbps. It is very liberating. Although I had to admit there was once small disruption. It was last Monday night iirc, where internet connection was suddenly down for about 15 minutes and it returned afterwards. Other than that, the service had been fine so far. Speeds are good even at peak hours (8pm -12pm).

LOL really? I had no Unifi experience. Guess I dodged a bullet there and made the right choice for insisting for Allo. The sales agent persuaded me to opt for anyone that's faster to arrive (Unifi vs Allo) but I insisted Allo even though it might be later than Unifi. But irrelevant as Allo came earlier anyway, meanwhile still nothing from TM, no new TM FDP box or cables in sight.

payment of termination fees can be paid in installments at TMpoint. no need to pay all at once

I know a lot of people they rather default and stop paying TM after getting mischarged and overbilled.

They never returned to TM after even when the financial situation improves to clear their arrears/debts.

There are still telcos out there which still take in TM blacklisted customers even for fixed line services with the condition they either sign up for postpaid services with down payments etc.

Fiber cable work just started this week, 1 spool was unwound and contractors started to strung up the cables on a few poles at taman angsana and Taman Impiana.
