Areas around TNB Kulai will be getting Allo even though they've been using Unifi for a long time. Heard from their contract TNB will try to expand their coverage to reach 60% coverage from Kulai till JB In 2022.

QUOTE(3825968 @ Nov 20 2020, 02:04 PM) Wow! thats super good news, Im from Kulai, even though Unifi has the fibre box on the tiang, but haven't make available until 2021. hopefully allo can come before that. Shops behind MCD already can get Allo installed, from what I've heard from contractors…at the moment they only got around 10-20 subscribers In the entire Johor. And the ping isn't stable as they're still tinkering some settings.Hey at least Unifi is coming, I'm at Bandar Putra… waited unifi for 8 years… They only gave us 8 ports for a street with 20 houses…gg |

Heard areas around Senai Airport will be getting Allo soon, no ETA.
They're pulling fibers at the moment, finally... Hope they won't be able to finish the work by the end of 2022... Ermm...cough cough....because I'm still tied to TM for 24 months... Having PTSD of "port full" |

QUOTE(Xelnagakail @ Feb 21 2021, 07:21 PM) My guess is, is Streamyx or Unxfx already available in your area? If it already available they probably using back old pole (they won't bother to install new pole). Then this high chances is Allo TNB pole QUOTE(Ylow123 @ Feb 21 2021, 08:15 PM) QUOTE(Candy12 @ Feb 21 2021, 08:21 PM) Those poles look more like TNB Allo utility poles. Asked local TM agent, Unifi adding extra portsTM poles are usually shorter and smaller in diameter. Not Allo |

QUOTE(NightFelix @ Feb 22 2021, 08:48 AM) Jalan Nuri 36, Bandar Putra Kulai, JohorI was really suprised when they told me it is from TM as getting them to install extra ports is as hard or even harder than getting their infra at the first place. But I'm 100% sure that Allo is pulling fiber from Senai's Econsave towards airport to Kulai, while Taman Putri puling from somewhere else |

QUOTE(juzmafia @ Feb 22 2021, 01:46 PM) If the back lane already have existing TM poles that is used for streamyx cable then TM will hang their fiber cable on the same pole. Yes, that back alley alone got around 8~10 telephone poles but only 1 got DP installed at the momentThis is what they did at my area. And the demand for Unifi here isnt that high, odd isnt it? QUOTE(NightFelix @ Feb 22 2021, 02:43 PM) Local TM rep who does all the work last year when TM pulled their infra.QUOTE(Candy12 @ Feb 22 2021, 03:20 PM) This is psychology and attempt to prevent lost of sales lead. Yes, been thinking about that tooEven if the poles belong to some other operators/utility company they will not admit it because they don't want potential future customers to wait for Allo instead if good news breaks out. Just like many dishonest stores/mini markets around my area. When you ask them if they stock certain brands of items instead of them saying honestly that no we don't stock such brand they'd go on and say this brand? We already ran out of stock, come back next time! Why they do so, it's because they don't want to close any future opportunity for you from returning to his shop in future and turning you down leaving you with bad impression on their part. It's really odd because the other tmn adjacent still got no new of unifi Unlikely TM will provide extra ports for our tmn with low demand (below 30% installed unifi) QUOTE(Xelnagakail @ Feb 22 2021, 04:39 PM) Bro... I advise you that you wait them install the pole first and see which company is installing fiber. Wait patiently... I'm already with unifi, got another 20 months on contract to go |

Uhh updates for Allo's coverage at Saleng, Senai and Kulai Johor I was contacted by TNB's agent (not Unifi) about the poles Those behind my house are indeed Allo's At the moment, Saleng's Jln Cermai, Jln sutera, Jln Gaya, Jln Gaya indah all installing poles. Other parts of Kulai, Bandar Putra, Bandar Putri all getting Allo Poles and cabling will be done within 5 months, rest of the infra around 3 more. Covered maybe 75% of the region. skywardsword, Candy12, and 2 others liked this post

QUOTE(DaisukeSakurai @ Feb 25 2021, 07:09 PM) Hi, recently TM's and Allo's FDP boxes have been installed around my house (4 Allo FDPs and 1 TM's), and UniFi sent some agents to my Taman to collect registrations and etc. Just compare the posts between Unifi's and Allo'sMy question is, to those who've subscribed to Allo, or TM, or have experience with both services, how is the stability and uptime? I am just concerned with the downtime for either service, but honestly that shouldn't be a big concern since I have my backup LTE lines, but still, which is the more stable of the two? Every few pages you'll see people asking "hey xxx area dc again?", "why my ping so bad tonight" Not seeing many people complaining about Allo's stability here... As an Unifi user myself, I can tell you unifi's international routing is horrible especially to EU They route traffic to EU from MY to HK, back to SG then finally to EU...adding extra latencies Every couple weeks/months now always got weird issues at Unifi's end Today's network issue cant even be fixed by using VPN.... If you got the option to choose, get Allo Honest review from someone stuck with Unifi on 20 more months of contract Candy12 and Xelnagakail liked this post

QUOTE(Ecology @ Feb 26 2021, 03:52 PM) I waited year after year for unifi then suddenly popup now but no longer interested. If unifi popup 2 years when the offer still good I would grab it. Now more interest in allo I can wait. I waited unifi for nearly 10 years, finally they arrived last September which I got it installed expecting Allo will not be here...Who knows 3~4 months later they're installing poles behind my house... If Allo's international routing is better than Unifi's, I'll terminate it before contract ends. Seeing someone paying the same price as my 100mbps plan but gets 5 times the download speed and 10 times more of the upload... This post has been edited by QuantumEdge: Feb 26 2021, 06:56 PM |

QUOTE(wchsam92 @ Feb 27 2021, 01:37 AM) Hi guys, Allo 500mbps user here. I've been a silent lurker here for some time now. It's been exactly one week since installation. Been waiting for TM Unifi for years but now I'm a happy Allo customer, after stuck with Streamyx 1mbps since 2009. Nice!Long story short: Sept 2020 poles appeared behind my house, TM agents comes knocking stating Unifi coming soon. Eventually Allo FDP boxes were installed on those new poles followed by fiber cable. TM agent called saying Unifi is delayed and suggest alternate option, Allo. After doing some research and knowing its prices, I immediately canceled my Unifi application and opted Allo instead. Previously I was interested in Unifi 100mbps but with Allo can get 500mbps. Just before CNY received email confirming my subscription. And installation was exactly one week ago. Service had been fine for this past week. Imagine going from 1mbps to 500mbps. It is very liberating. Although I had to admit there was once small disruption. It was last Monday night iirc, where internet connection was suddenly down for about 15 minutes and it returned afterwards. Other than that, the service had been fine so far. Speeds are good even at peak hours (8pm -12pm). ![]() Do you mind running a few ping test for me? If their ping to AWS servers are better than TM, then GG.... Time to switch https://mywebping.host/page2.html Please run it on desktop or laptop, cause mobile phone's ping is significantly worse than computers for some reason Thanks |

QUOTE(wchsam92 @ Feb 27 2021, 12:10 PM) LOL really? I had no Unifi experience. Guess I dodged a bullet there and made the right choice for insisting for Allo. The sales agent persuaded me to opt for anyone that's faster to arrive (Unifi vs Allo) but I insisted Allo even though it might be later than Unifi. But irrelevant as Allo came earlier anyway, meanwhile still nothing from TM, no new TM FDP box or cables in sight. Most sites are neck to neck lah, but certain sites unifi is bad because of bad international routing and congestions hence the amazing comment from me I'm still tied to contract, by the time Allo arrived I should have around a year more. Need something to justify that RM1680 termination fee |

QUOTE(Candy12 @ Feb 27 2021, 04:07 PM) I know a lot of people they rather default and stop paying TM after getting mischarged and overbilled. I won't risk getting blacklisted on CTOS, I could try "relocate" back to my kampung house that lacks TM's infraThey never returned to TM after even when the financial situation improves to clear their arrears/debts. There are still telcos out there which still take in TM blacklisted customers even for fixed line services with the condition they either sign up for postpaid services with down payments etc. Might be able to terminate without paying a penalty... hopefully |

QUOTE(supergen3 @ Mar 1 2021, 12:01 PM) Fiber cable work just started this week, 1 spool was unwound and contractors started to strung up the cables on a few poles at taman angsana and Taman Impiana. They're fast, no jokeI saw them piling up poles few streets behind last week? After 2~3 days my friends living there told me they erected new poles behind houses, Yesterday TNB 1st team came to survey and do the drilling at 9 am, 2nd team tanam the poles at 2 PM Nearby taman already got their poles painted with codes and waiting for DP Oddly the poles near TNB's powerline got an extra ring on top, others are just straight concrete poles with nothing on them. ![]() |
