Have you tried it with the 2.4G adapter?
*
Yeah I did. But I prefer to use bluetooth as in my experience the RKG68 bluetooth is reliable and doesn't give me issue. So prefer not to have to plug anything in to my laptop. Also if you are using 2.4g then it is not as easy to switch to typing for phone, whereas when you're on bluetooth its just on fn-key shortcut to switch to phone and type quickly there.

The 2.4G didn't give me any issue when I tested it a few minutes. Of course my keyboard and my laptop distance was like 2 feet away only. Never bothered testing it further since not my use case. If it is being used with a desktop plugged to my TV across the room then maybe got issue?

i bought a gaming table with 2 side gromets for better cable manegement. so i can fit my mouse and keyboard wires through these holes :} very convenient.

If you got like an ikea wooden table you could probly mod and do your own gromet with the right drill type hmm.gif

oh my table has two grommets alright.

But my PC is like placed on another table. For an example, my monitor on my table needs about 3M cable to reach my PC. xD but 3M is also because i need to hide the cable behind the table and make a roundabout to reach the PC. I think maybe it's about 2M or so?

Just finished a "budget" Keychron Q1 Knob version build.
Went with a blue on blue color scheme:

- Keychron Q1 Navy Blue Barebone ANSI
- Akko Macaw Doubleshot PBT keycaps
- Gazzew Bobba U4 silents (tactility without the thock)
- completely stock, no mods or lubing whatsoever

Short initial review from a non enthusiast:
- Really liking the build quality so far. This thing is heavy! The anodized finish is also good.
- aviator style cable not included only a straight usbc to usbc one (with a usb-a adapter). ( I consider this a plus as I am not a fan of the coiled cable look.)
- the stock stabs are really good enough. Zero rattling and really consistent, then again I am coming from a basic WASDKeyboard.
- really nice type feel. ( this may be due to the switches I used. It feels really solid with very little play coming from cherry brown switches)
- the cutouts for the keys feels a little too wide maybe to accommodate different keycap styles.

Total damage < USD $300

Sorry no pics atm - potato F3 camera.

Very sensible build specs. Like good value quality all around. Enjoy bro.
Them Akko keycaps are better quality than I expected. I have the 9009 colorway on an NCR80.

thanks and yeah i agree on the quality for the price.
although i have to admit its definitely not perfect. Some stems are not molded correctly but it doesnt affect function imo.
wish I knew they were on Shopee, about rm40 cheaper there haha.

kinda spoiled for choice now compared to a few years ago. maybe can try gazzew bobagum.
I just built one using their tactile version and the housing tolerance on them is really good.
If that is any indication of how good their entire lineup is, then the bobagum may be a good pick.
Alternatives are the silent switches from zealpc or gateron but lookup reviews first.

What is the simplest mod that you can do to the mechanical keyboard that will improve the typing quality significantly?

Hi guys, is there a local marketplace for switch parts? I'm specifically looking for t1 bottoms. Don't need everything else, just the bottoms sweat.gif

/r/mechmarket if you don't mind paying twice the price or you can pay the "normal" price for a GB and wait 2 years instead. whistling.gif
