QUOTE(horns @ Nov 11 2020, 03:18 PM) usually i do this for actively used units after few months (subjective; depending on how dirty the plate/pcb surfaces are): any unit to reccomend?1. take out key caps and wash them with ultrasonic cleaner + warm water + dental cleanser tablet; 2. use brush to sweep weird stuff out of plate/pcb surfaces (do this out-door); use wet cloth to clean it up again; 3. use brush to sweep the internal of case; 4. reinstall everything. the more frequent one are step 1 and 2 (subjective also; depending on how dirty they look) for key caps, i wash and dry them before putting them back into their box/bag/tray. |

going down the rabbit hole
why is south facing PCB so impt? I see only 1 benefit is of Cherry profile keycaps compatibility. Manufacturers can remove RGB from PCB and save $ since most user wanting the south facing layout not using the RGB feature? |

QUOTE(niakulah @ Jun 16 2022, 02:04 PM) https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/epomak..._eid=644d194e4e Going live in just under 9 hours. If I wasn't already in the middle of a build, I'd probably get this... Layout is awesome, big knob, QMK. Yummy. ![]() no QMK support Edit: eww.. pay more for VIA/QMK This post has been edited by Lurker: Jun 17 2022, 01:36 PM |

QUOTE(horns @ Feb 11 2022, 08:53 PM) that's in category no. 3. most recent kits from cn are in that category. it's fine if via is good enough for you, and you're not using qmk to modify its features. Hi, may I know if it's possible to do this with via/vial/qmk confiq? for instance, i add winlock, and use rgb led for underglow as caps lock indicator also. (like kbd75 rev2, which is the pcb for kbd75v3 and v3.1) edit: official via support for simpler64 is still in progress. i have modified mine to make the led under capslock to work as capslock indicator. if you had the same pcb, just add the following in your keymap.c: CODE /* capslock; start; */ #ifdef RGB_MATRIX_ENABLE __attribute__ ((weak)) void rgb_matrix_indicators_user(void) { if (host_keyboard_led_state().caps_lock) { rgb_matrix_set_color(28, 0xFF, 0xFF, 0xFF); } } #endif /* capslock; end; */ the outcome: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « I'm just dipping my feet into qmk, no knowledge of coding. Spent a few days just reading on nuances of modtap and miryoku/colemak This post has been edited by Lurker: Aug 25 2022, 09:17 PM |

QUOTE(niakulah @ Sep 14 2022, 06:27 PM) There's also KAM and SA R3. Still need visual reference stageOr you can go for blanks, or GMK Dots or any other meaningless symbols. Or go for the meme classic |
