WTA Royal Kludge or Redragon would be the preferred choice for a budget wireless mechanical keyboard?

SP-Star Luminous switches. I got 10 each of these cause I was curious about them. They're pretty nice linear switches. very smooth even without any lubrication.

Best of all, they glow in the dark!

yes, they are decent linear switches.

sp-star is one of my preferred base to make custom switches. with the right spring type/weight, and lube, it will feel even closer to individual preferences.

I'm wondering now what's a good stem to change into this body, so I can get a glow in the dark tactile

Swapped out the leaf and stem with those from a SP-Star purple, and now I have a glow in the dark tactile switch smile.gif

yes i guess there are experiments to be done for this.

there are variants in tactile switches, e.g. rounded vs sharp bumps, and the point when actuation happens. it's really up to you to find out.

Short story: It does not.

Long story: It may fit but not properly. The reason for that is that in a standard MX style configuration, the "gap" between the plate and the PCB is 4mm, so the clips in the plate-mount stabilizers clip in to the plate at 4mm. In the Phantom L low profile, the "gap" is lower than 4mm (I believe it is 3.2mm if I ain't mistaken), so, while it fits inside the hole, it does not clip in properly and will be taller in height.

If I would like to replace the stabilizer, which stabilizer do you think I should get?

If I may ask, why do you feel the need to replace the stabilizers? Was it because you "read" that some people say JWK are better? Why not try to at least tune the stabilizers. The world these days is all about "I need/must replace with something better", but, at least, give it a shot at trying to improve on what you already have.

Unless, of course, unfortunately, you broke the stabilizer, in that case, I would say you may need to contact Tecware for a replacement, coz there are currently no aftermarket replacements available. Even switches only just started being sold recently.

Is this case, I think the only choice is to contact Tecware for warranty/support as I don't think there are "readily available" low profile stabilizers in the market, yet.

does anyone know why the MKO13R keyboard lights sometimes don't light up as they should on a windows 10 PC?
the lights will light up part of the keyboard but not all of it and not move as per the preset pattern in the app.
once i restart the app and reselect the light pattern, the lights work again., until the next POST.

for commercial boards, you can always consult the support of the manufacturer. do rma if it doesn't work as per their specifications.

besides the tape mod, there is another new trend: a layer of thin eva/pe/poron (0.2 to 0.5mm) is applied between switch and pcb. both are supposed to influence key sound and feel to certain degrees.

here's an example of the latter, https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=651649297288 (for solderable and hot-swap pcbs)

from my limited tests, they have mixed results. it's true that these mods will change key sound and feel, but in my case, only slightly.

however, each of us do things differently, using different kits/parts/mods. so it's better to try them out first. they might surprise you, since many are happy with these new mods.

Btw, any prebuilt 60% to recco? HotSwap, RGB
Wanted to get the RK84, but keycaps for the bottom right few either hard to get or costs more than standard layout.
