QUOTE(QuickFire @ Oct 10 2007, 10:18 PM) Ok I tried alpha16 and my port was still being blocked. Tried alpha7 and I'm now downloading at 140KBps. Yep, older version is faster, though buggier. Someone be a kind fellow and report this bug My badly seeded torrent 1 seed to 3 leecher torrent with less than 30 peers managed to download at 30 kB/s with alpha 6 and 10 kB/s with alpha 14. EDIT: I did try alpha 7 before, but it messed things up and suddenly started to crash on me (though the solution was to delete the preference folder, I fear this problem might reappear). EDIT2: Going to try all the builds from alpha 6 to alpha 16 and see from where the issue of port being blocked starts. This post has been edited by blindbox: Oct 10 2007, 11:03 PM |

So far I haven't encountered any apparent bugs since alpha 14 as I'm testing out alpha 16 right now.But just wanna share this piece of info with you guys...
Installed this PC game called Two Worlds, where it required for the Ageia PhysX engine/runtime to be installed along with it. Right after I've done that and even without that concurrent game and Deluge runs (not that my comp can really handle that anyway), Deluge would suddenly go into a 'stutter-fest' a'la old Azureus' memory leaks and sudden felt very 'heavy' between windows' changes. I checked that part out when I removed the PhysX installation altogether and confirmed that the issue was resolved immediately.Which reminds me that maybe I should leave this as a comment on slurdge. |

On alpha 16 now and getting full speed mostly even though the ports are blocked.
One particular torrent tho wont budge beyond 10kb on alpha 16, but i tried the same torrent on ubuntu without any success as well, still 10kb. So i'm assuming that slow speeds are not caused by the blocked ports but rather the issue with the seeders/leechers itself. |

I dont know if this happens to other builds, but I'm using alpha7, and when my pc crashes, all the data downloaded in that session will be lost. For example, I start a new torrent right now, it downloads 50% and then my pc crashes. When I restart the torrent will be back at 0%.
This is particularly annoying for me because I have a mobo with bad caps at the moment, so my pc crashes randomly rather often. Any temp workaround for this? This post has been edited by QuickFire: Oct 11 2007, 06:17 PM |
