everyone has problems with tmnet streamyx packet shaping. unless of course you use Boleh VPN. why pay for unthrottled torrent traffic? all it takes is a bit of extra time to set up.

this might not be for everyone. but amazingly enough Linux solves it. Deluge Torrent (www.deluge-torrent.org) can encrypt the FULL STREAM of traffic out of a bt client. which means tmnet cant read your packet headers. take that you bastards! deluge is only available on linux. i dont know any other torrent client which does this. if any windows one does this please let me know.

download any linux distro (i suggest ubuntu) and try it. i get 50kB/s Download and 25kB/s uploads. thank you and goodnight and good luck.

kind of. but i think this encrypts EVERYTHING. most importantly your traffic to your trackers

very true. but i use Linux now for just basic computer use. internet. music. movies. only time i change back to windows is to play warcraft3

QUOTE
pic please,

as attached below. i did not change any of the default settings except the max global connections. default was 400. that was crazy!
blurred out what i was downloading (my privacy). notice all the peers im connected to. the top ones are NOT malaysian IPs. success!

any linux distro would do. im not one of those uber nerds who only choose one. but i sticking to Ubuntu cause its just too easy. Deluge has to be installed though. it doesnt come preinstalled with ubuntu but its easy to install.

+ below is also is a screenshot of my compiz -fusion 3d desktop which blows windows vista and mac OSx out of the water.

It just mean that they and most of the torrent program are using the same standard, it is just a matter how or which way to implement it.

cuba cygwin maybe can installed on windows

i would love to. but actually im too lazy. Gimp is just crap to use (one of my few gripes about linux) .just take my word for it. everyone seems so dismissive. can you even connect properly to trackers during the day? how fast do your torrents go?
i actually download faster in the day since only a few other malaysians can connect their torrents, unlike at night.

Mine is different...

My torrent can run out of bound during early of the morning and after the midnight...

and during a hot day i cannot excess more than 20kb/s but it is superb when it is a rainy day...

sometimes i thought i am playing luck to get a good or bad connection when i switch on my modem...
