Damanoid is a big public tracker. Its bound to have some sort of overload of its tracker. To answer the question its normal behavior nothing to do with streamyx.

Mount linux partition on windows.

Doing this the other way round is more risky if your using NTFS on windows so I will not recommend this until linux NTFS module is more stable.

most common linux distros can read NTFS partitions now. if you want to WRITE to NTFS you have to install ntfs-3g. i feel the writing is a bit slow but it works like a charm.
if you want to read the ext2 file systems on windows, use this program. i havent tried it but it should solve your problem http://www.fs-driver.org/

Looks like the remedy is to leave the torrent on and wait for it to connect to the tracker.

i left it on for the whole night,it tried to connect over 60 times but never succeeded

Other trackers work fine for me

if wanna use vmware, just download vmware player http://www.vmware.com/products/player/ n download ubuntu appliance here http://isv-image.ubuntu.com/vmware/. No need to install ubuntu on vmware anymore. Just extract zip file n run with vmware player.

There are some differences between clients during peer handshaking (peer id different). Probably that is making the difference.
It still seems odd why not all clients are throttled since all clients handshake packet starts with "19BitTorrent protocol".
But.... as long as it works. biggrin.gif

Downloaded 3 files amounting to 2GB+ since last night!!! I did switch it off last night and continued this morning.

I also noticed that browsing to my Linksys WAG54GV3 modem/router was much faster.

Ubuntu Ultimate-1.4 is the based off 7.04 Fiesty Fawn with some apps added so you should be ok.
http://ubuntusoftware.info/Ubuntu_Ultimate_CD/

You will need VMware Server or Workstation to install. Follow the instructions in the link below.
