QUOTE(Guardian @ Aug 12 2007, 06:42 PM) if wanna use vmware, just download vmware player http://www.vmware.com/products/player/ n download ubuntu appliance here http://isv-image.ubuntu.com/vmware/. No need to install ubuntu on vmware anymore. Just extract zip file n run with vmware player. |

QUOTE(precursor80 @ Aug 13 2007, 02:48 PM) It's probably nothing to do with the OS type but the way TM throttle the BT packets. My theory as below. i don think so coz with ktorrent, it only works if encryption is enabled. So i dont think the throttled base on peer Id. I still puzzling with all this..» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « If anyone have any alternative theories, please feel free to share. |

Walah its easy like abc.. but of course i need a backup hardisk with fat32 so i can access my file with both os... wuhuuu... life so good now... |

QUOTE(d(@@)b @ Aug 13 2007, 11:38 PM) Go to this site http://www.slax.org/download.php n download any slax version u want. I use the kill bill one. After that download modules from here http://www.slax.org/modules.php, Search for ktorrent module n firefox module. After that read this http://www.slax.org/doc_customize.php#modifyiso coz u need to modify the iso to add the module. Then burn iso to cd n boot ur pc with cd now... u done. There's a bunch of live cd out there, but this is the easiest for beginner since u only need to download module to add new program..so good luck. QUOTE(praveenmarkandu @ Aug 15 2007, 09:51 AM) actually, i dont think trackers are blocked to torrent trackers. i was downloading opensuse a month ago using utorrent. i was getting speeds of 50kB/s during the day. it was pretty stable. odd that streamyx would actually find time to allow this seriously i dont know what u talking about, n is this related to my post?... coz i dont think i talking about tracker problem.. i just suggest to hpares to download ubuntu torrent since got many seeders so he can benchmark his torrent speed. This is the best way to test torrent download speed. Even vpn provider will ask the same thing to benchmark the speed.Added on August 15, 2007, 10:08 am QUOTE(tyssxp @ Aug 15 2007, 10:00 AM) Just want to ask if i want to download ssh for Ubuntu Feisty 7.04 what's the command to be used in the terminal. I can't seem to find the ssh from the Internet. The closest I got is sudo apt-get install openssh which then prompt me for the Ubuntu CD. Currently I'm using Ubuntu VMWare and would like to transfer file from Ubuntu to my Vista thru WinSCP. did u try "sudo apt-get install ssh"?This post has been edited by blackamikaze: Aug 15 2007, 10:08 AM |
