Wanted to survey what's the max voltage you all usually go until with Q6600?
I'm kinda new in overclocking world, and now my Q6600 is running 335x9 at 1.4v, and I know its not so suitable cause the voltage is too high already ... I think. I wanna ask, what will happen if the voltage has been set too high? This post has been edited by Shufflerz: Feb 7 2009, 12:20 AM |

Anything above 1.35v vcore is kinda on the high side but if you invest on a better heatsink its still alright, but oc your proc, important thing to look for is always the temp n voltage, other than that nobody know when your proc will die except the proc will have a shorter life.I'm kinda new in overclocking world, and now my Q6600 is running 335x9 at 1.4v, and I know its not so suitable cause the voltage is too high already ... 3.6ghz LinX and IBT stable needs 1.45v, 3.8ghz needs 1.55v. Both under watercooling of course.

hi.. i try to oc G0 q6600 to 3.0ghz, but temp is around 50c idle, 80c load.. i think is very hot.. im using ZALMAN NP9500
 my voltage in cpuz is around 1.336 my fsb is 333x9 what do u all think? |
