The temp is normal dont worry, my q6600 would reach 70c when primming with sp2004 x4.

QUOTE(syahirax @ Aug 19 2008, 07:17 PM) guys, just wondering,im using Q6600 B3,and i overclocked it to 3 ghz and the idle temp is 50 C/49C/48C/50C,and im using xigmatek HDT S1283,Dont you think the temp is a bit high?Ive lapped my hsf and proc anyway. QUOTE(tkh_1001 @ Aug 19 2008, 07:30 PM) not sure... I think it makes sense, one of u have lapped and the other one non lapped.. so that explains the temperature diff.me using non-lapped s1283 and it can hit 6x degree c on priming at 3.5ghz in an aircond room Other factors might affect the results tho, but ur temp is still acceptable to me. |

Set ratio 1:1, ram timing to 5-5-5-15 and give some volts to it like 2.2v. Start with 400mhz and progress slowly. Please state here what voltage that you can adjust so that we can help u further.

Chipset voltage.
Do some reading on how to overclock before proceeding. It seems that you still dont have the necessary info to start overclocking |

Read that, you can ask me which one you dont understand and i will explain it to you. We can try 1 by 1 and see if we can clock it higher.. |
