Happens to my DS3R as well at times, heck... Even the 3-pin fan output voltage isn't constant shakehead.gif

But the lower the vdroop, the better.

nice temperature there, i cant get 3.2Ghz as my 2160 hitting 72C high (and it still rising). the max i can safely clock is 3.104Ghz @ 1.30Vcore which produce 68C degree. Is that stock heatsink that bad?

LOL, ive jus realised that using kIngston Value rams is on par with my Ballistix...

I am jus talking the super Pi1m result, lIke this

Before i bought kingston rams, I tested my E2160 with my Ballistix before.

I was running at 387x8 at 1.425 and My ballistix ran at ddr2 1000 with timing 5-5-5-10, My superPi1m result Got around 20. 100 secs.

when I tested my kingston value rams, I ran all same speeds except the ram speed and timing. it was running at DDR2 832 with timing 4-4-4-12,

and guess wat, I got 19.700 secs on Super PI1m....

and fyi, iam also talking abt the most stable settings on My E2160 at 1.425..

both settings and both rams passed orthos in 13 hours. seriously guys ABit Ip35-E rocksssssssssssss, I love this board...... seriously really worth of money.....

btw guys, any idea abt this matter... iam jus getting started to think that buying High performance rams aint that necessary... unless Perhaps U do some extreme overclocking... perhaps

if you notice... you ran on DDR2 1000MHz with 5-5-5-10, while on the ValueRAM, DDR2 832MHz with tighter... 4-4-4-12, from there already tells us about the performance biggrin.gif, i'm not going to tell further details about tight vs loose timing with high speed, that's the idea... loose timing is lose to tight timing... unless with such that timing with high speed... maybe 1200MHz ~ 1300MHz icon_idea.gif...

ic... jus thought of having almost like 200mhz difference will be much affecting such things.. heu2he even with such loose timings..uhe2uhe, but seriously my ballistix suks to the maxxxxxxx, cant even go hogher than ddr2 1060. i got the worst batch i guess...

Core2 architecture runs best on 1:1 ratio, thats why u can get almost similar results. There no point to push RAM speed that high by the way, there is a thread discuss about 1:1 ratio.

yeah I was also surprised when I got to pass orthos in 13 hours at that speed with 4-4-4-12. I bought this pair from http://forum.lowyat.net/user/skymyxe, it's 16 chips sided, and on the ramsink it only says kingston, it's not hynix or watsoever... dunno wat chip this is called. thanks for skymyxe for selling such a good pair of Kingston Value rams...eu2heu2, really worth of money!!

tight timing is loved alot by SP1M brows.gif Also yeah it must be anggajayas luck to have KVR that can do that, but eh, my team value can do cl4 up to ddr2 900 and its ddr2 667 at stock smile.gif

Haha, good for us
