QUOTE(markedestiny @ May 16 2024, 12:14 PM) I am thinking of moving my IBKR which is UK based to USA based. You can trace back my post from here onwards: https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...#entry107156889 May I ask those who have made the switch, are there any issues or concerns after making the switch? How long would it take to make the switch, and what's the procedure like? It's a complete record of how the procedure works for me. --------------------------- Here's another example: https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...#entry105954389 You can search for "LLC" in the "keywords" section using the forum's Search Topic function to see posts related to the transfer from IBKR UK to LLC. polarzbearz liked this post

How do you reduce the cost of buy/sell option on IBKR? Currently using the IBKR Pro Tiered for wheel strategy but the fees can really add up.
Saw that there's the maxRebate method to get rebate on fees if use TWS, but I'm trying on the new IBKR desktop and I think the default is just SMART routing. Not sure if other brokers like Charles Schwab will be cheaper. This post has been edited by capablanca: May 16 2024, 02:06 PM |

hedfi IBKR users have 1 FOC withdrawal each month, so this Wise trx should be free. Moomoo SG can link to Wise (hopefully deposit is free) do note that there seems to be no way to withdraw from Moomoo SG out to Wise for now. And USD convert to SGD in moomoo has a fee of 0.3-0.4%. No ibkr USD2 per $100k conversion miracle This post has been edited by Medufsaid: May 18 2024, 09:00 AM hedfi liked this post

Was reading this book recently:

hedfi there doesn't seem to be a way to withdraw SGD out via Wise, only IBKR->USD->Wise

QUOTE(hedfi @ May 18 2024, 09:24 AM) I don't think it USD 1 for subsequent withdrawal. USD1 is for ACH. Wise is lousy bank to ACH as BNM only mandate RM20k limit only.https://www.interactivebrokers.com/en/pricing/other-fees.php |

$1.00 is correct
QUOTE(Medufsaid @ May 3 2024, 03:09 PM) ![]() hmm. looking at how IBKR withdraws out to Wise, seems like there is no direct IBKR->Wise method. they have to withdraw out to a local US bank that partners with Wise. so the same limitation will apply for Moomoo SG which doesn't have any partnership with US banks (all USD in Moomoo SG is parked with DBS) This post has been edited by Medufsaid: May 18 2024, 12:13 PM |

IBKR > Wise free, takes one working day
Wise > Moomoo (USD to USD) could be 0.1096% (was charged USD10.96 for USD10k) took like 2 minutes to show up at Moomoo Wise USD > Moomoo SGD would cost USD41.96 for same amount This post has been edited by hedfi: May 21 2024, 07:02 AM |
