Hi guys, wanna confirm a few things regarding unifi air..
I used the coverage map to confirm if my house got covered or not but unfortunately it didn't not. I read this topic and stumble across that we could use unifi bebas prepaid to check accurately coz the map somehow is inaccurate So got my bebas prepaid, and to my suprise I got lte+band 40 on my phone. The speed is around 8mbps tho, but i read that tm actually capped the unifi bebas to around that speed Currently using streamyx 8mbps. Shud I get unifi air? |

Unifi bebas speed is capped when you are using unlimited pass, otherwise shd be full speed.I used the coverage map to confirm if my house got covered or not but unfortunately it didn't not. Btw, u can subscribe unifi air without contract, if the speed is not up to expectations then just terminate it. |

Unifi bebas speed is capped when you are using unlimited pass, otherwise shd be full speed. That bebas monthly complimentary given coz of pkp might be the reason why the speed is capped on 8mbps. So to test the estimate full speed, shud I buy the high speed addon one? Btw, u can subscribe unifi air without contract, if the speed is not up to expectations then just terminate it. I dun have a modem that could hold the sim, buying a new one cost quite high. So I'm thinking on getting the 2 years contract with the router one instead of the no contract sim only package. That's why i need to know as much as I can before subscribing to this unifi air. Thanx! Attached thumbnail(s) |

I'm sure that the BEBAS weekly has a speed cap of 8 Mbps or was is 10 Mbps, not sure if the complimentary monthly package does have that cap. But, if you're able to get band 40, I'm pretty sure that unifi air will benefit with a decent CPE and it's worth it for you. |

The problem for me would be that I couldn't know exactly the average speed I would get as bebas capped the speed at 8mbps. I just know that the fact my house got lte + band 40. And it definitely get around 8mbps cuz of limit. I'm hoping to get more speed with unifi air tho. Band 40 seems gud for unifi air based on previous replies I got, so might be worth getting unifi air I guess?air average speed 20mbps.. depends on signal etc. ada yg boleh dapat 40,50, even 70mbps.. if u can get 20mbps.. u can reach 30/40mbps during offpeak.. especially early mornin time |

Friend, u can put the unifi air sim into your hand phone and test the speed on various locations before committed to 24 months contract. It was what i did last year. From my finding, unifi air is slow but stable at my area. After 1 month, i went to TM point and cancelled my plan. I got back my $$$ after 2-3 months. They bank into my account directly.I dun have a modem that could hold the sim, buying a new one cost quite high.
