Friend, u can put the unifi air sim into your hand phone and test the speed on various locations before committed to 24 months contract. It was what i did last year. From my finding, unifi air is slow but stable at my area. After 1 month, i went to TM point and cancelled my plan. I got back my $$$ after 2-3 months. They bank into my account directly.
Btw... 1 modem just cost ard rm250. Worth for a try/buy.

I see, do u need to pay the rm100 (upfront payment) when u first subscribe to the sim only package? Tbf, the router+sim package actually have the 30days-trial return policy, tho I need to pay the upfront payment first. What I didn't quite sure is whether I would get the rm100 back or it would be burned just like that if I were to return the modem within 30-days using the policy. I tried asking the tm agent I'm dealing with on wa, the answer she gave was quite ambiguous, but I'm 70% sure she said that I wouldn't get back that payment. Weird.

Also, I thought existing streamyx user didn't need to pay the upfront payment. Not in my case tho, got told that the promo had already ended so need to pay. Anyone knows whether this is true?

I'm on Unifi Mobile Jasa Pack.

I'm getting very bad Upload speed of 0.5mbps only, pathetic upload (Download speed is reasonable 20mbps). With this bad 0.5mbps upload, I'm unable to work from home at all, very hard to share my live presentation to my colleagues.

Does it mean Unifi Air will give similar Upload speed in my area as the Jasa Pack? Are they on different band?

Wonder if TM also pulls the same stunt with Unifi Air.  dry.gif

Anyone can confirm if unifi air is being throttled the same way as Unifi mobile like this? Because the past 3 to 4 days my unifi air were on constant average of 15mbps during non peak hour compared to 25 to 30mbps previously. I've been using roughly about 50gb worth of quota.

The rm100 is upfront payment, and unifi air always need to pay in advance. When u terminate your line, they will pro-rate based on your usage and return your balance to you.

Oh? So if I were to terminate lets say after I used 30 days. They will deduct the bill based on my usage on that 30 days? Unifi air now is rm79/month right? So wouldn't it be that I would get back the remaining rm21 from the upfront I paid earlier?

Didn't quite understand the upfront thing, so I'm sorry if somehow I asked a simple question here. Thanks!

Less than rm21, rm79 per month is not incluced the SST yet.

I see. Thanks for the heads up! I got nothing to lose then if I go try it then.

One more thing, does the remaining <rm21 will go and deduct the next bill if I were to continue the plan? So I would have to pay around rm60 for the 2nd month?

I have problem with unifi air, I have went and subscribe to SIM card only to try out and paid RM100 for deposit. When try in my house using Xiaomi Note 9S model and the coverage is only 2-3bar signal. Speed wise 2-8mbps only. Wondering if the Huawei B618 router would do any better and also is B818 router is much better than B618? So confusing

So, I'm right outside the coverage. Approximately around 100m.

Open Signal tells me that unifi having 6.5mbps averagely.
(the reading is kind of accurate if referring to my own celcom reading. Just that I'm not sure what unifi is that? Unifi mobile? Unifi Air?)

If looking at unifi mobile coverage, my area is confirmed covered.

So, am I safe to take on unifi air?

Please advice, all sifu. MCO Is driving me crazy during this MCO, my work constantly upload stuff, my wife zoom meeting, and my kid is having zoom class. Summore my parents are watching TV box.

I signed multiple line during MCO and now my butt hurts.

Guys, if you interested but map shows no coverage or not confidence on the line, you can always look for unifi tester in the FB which can help you to test using their modem & Simcard for small of fees which I did... Setul get the Simcard after raya

Thx for the advice, I know that as well but strangely with the poor upload speed with no more than 0.4mbps from streamyx, I'm still able to zoom meeting quite ok. So I assumes that it couldn't be worse if I switch to other telco?

Hard to tell, like my house, unfi mobile is more stable than other telco but downside is... speed is around 6 to 8 mbps.
Digi totally can not move, same goes to umobile. Maxis and celcom is good but no stable. Maybe due to congestion.

Is the 30 days trial return policy stated anywhere? If yes could u pls share where it is stated? I would love to try unifi air and considering to take with the modem.
