If he manage to get it working somehow, please let me know. I will gladly buy the RM1,500+ 5G modem to upgrade my speed & stability.

4G coverage in my place is good as in fullbar but congested as hell. Complain to MCMC multiple times and Telco said they planning to upgrade cell towers but don't know when. My neighbors said, the "plan" is just a ruse so MCMC will close case. We all know Telco will just use 5G.

I will wait for TM's official announcement on their website or socmed, then I will visit the nearest TMPoint to get the 5G simcard and upgrade my account.

so to subscribe to unifi air, need to pay rm79+rm100 upfront payment. so the rm100 is deductable or not? how they count it? rm79 is for the first month after my sim is activated? then second month will deduct 79 automatically from the rm100? is this how it works?

You'll get your SIM card on the spot and it activates usually in a day. Just stick it in a supported 4G router and can use.

can i pay in advance for unifi air? how would i go about doing that? i choose the pay bill button on the app, and under "pay bills > for my account", i try to type in RM100 and pay but it just shows unable to proceed. i still have about -5.45 in the bill since i just started using it for 1 month so there's still some leftovers from the first RM100 i paid. is that the reason?

Use tngo ewallet , select unifi->key in account number and make payment.
Maybe u can try to make rn5 first, see does it go into your unifi account or not!

I would like to know too, especially most of the products nowadays are only supplied with private IP.

Hi, I have just started using Unifi Air last week, I've taken the SIM only plan bcuz I wanted to test the performance of Unifi Air. Before I decided to try this Unifi Air, I did do some research on whether the SIM can be use in mobile phone as Hotspot, I've checked with TM Point, their live chat customer service and even some tutorial videos on Youtube, the answer I've gotten is yes, can be use on mobile phone.

Upon receiving the SIM card, I slot into my smartphone to test on the connection & hotspot, everything is good until night time, suddenly there is no signal at all & no Unifi as carrier. Then, I quickly slot into my spare old phone it can be use, however on the next day, even that phone is having the same issue that all signal has lost.

Then, I approach their Live Chat CS, some ppl tell me can only be use on Modem, but some said can also use on phone. The frustration part is I've requested to speak to the Technical team but I've waited for one whole week, nobody bothers to call me or give me an email for the update of my issue. I think probably this is some new T&C imposed in this year, whereby last time can be use as hotspot, which explain why when I firstly insert into my phone it's works, but after few hours, it became No Service.

I lost confidence with Unifi service and I'm in the midst of porting out for Maxis Fibre.

The only reason of this should be the fact that ur phone does not have the bands needed to work for unifi air.

I used Unifi Air in my office with cctv before (not sure what is the brand, I think is dahua). I think it connects to third party server before going through clients. It works but kinda slow since Unifi Air is not really fast in my area (about 20Mbps download and 2-5Mbps downloads depending on situation). I have since upgraded to Celcom 5G.

I think might just as well move on since there are 5G now albeit at higher price. Unifi Air was provided due to the last mileage problem and it was limited due to the band 5/40 limitation with TM (the service itself is a rebrand of P1).

I think Unifi aint gonna upgrade their band 5/40 just for Unifi Air. Cost wise it does not make sense for them.
