My recent experience in applying for Quantum Visa:

3/9 Submitted application
10/9 No status update on IVR. Followed up with call to CS
11/9 IVR: Under processing, pending documents
12/9 Application pending under e-CCRIS, IVR says Unsuccessful
13/9 Approval SMS received and showed approved under e-CCRIS too
17/9 Received and activated card

By the way, I tested my first card transaction with PayWave at Jaya Grocer but was not successful. I guess i'll need to perform a PIN transaction first before going contact-less then.

Today I first used PIN at Aeon Dept Store (Maybank terminal), then PayWave and it was successful. After that, I tried to wave again at Jaya Grocer (CIMB terminal) but still unsuccessful. Not sure if others also encounter this. Maybe I'll test with PIN first then only wave during my next visit to Jaya Grocer.

added card + created PIN in PBe.
SST charged on activation date.



called cs for new card reward, cs stated spend condition of RM300 within 60 days.
after the spend, give CS a call.
the reward is not automatically-tagged and it's case-by-case.
for me, cs put a note for this request, so that next cs will be noted of the instruction.

I couldn't get any SST rebate. I tried asking just now and he said it is not possible.. Sigh.
Maybe I should try again with next CS.

I called CS to request for the rebate after SST had appeared in my account. CS told me somebody will call me back next week, hopefully it's true.

mine still not getting, yet, even after spending and a note put by previous CS (which I specifically asked him to put after he said got rebate+condition)

already called 2 CS to grant, they acknowledge the note, but still need to escalate for approval.

Hopefully yours will get. Next month my VS and QMC also will be charged with SST. Since these two are not new cards, I hope they will entertain me.

If you got spending on both your card. Probably will get the rebate easily.

Of course, there's spending but banks can be crazy at times.

you can ask the agent who you apply the credit card to waive the sst for you
