Better go for local bank. The interest rate is supposed much lower than the international bank.

QUOTE(sherrina @ May 22 2009, 10:16 PM) isn't it easier to just call them straight away thru customer hotline and ask the banks for accurate & updated info on that?refer to my post for their number: http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...entry26026558 QUOTE(nash9701 @ May 24 2009, 08:59 PM) i'm not really understand about personal loan..i just want to ask sifu² here...which bank now give the lowest interest and good package for personal loan financing base on monthly payment...and it is applicable for private sector...my salary is above 2k and i don't hv anything to pay (house, car, loan, etc)..i'm planning to use the money to re-invest...hope someone can give idea... now that you told us the objective of your loan, could u pls elaborate more on how u're gonna re-invest?(^___^) you do realize its most likely that u're not gonna profit if u're planning for short-term deposit(investment) using the loan that has interest on repayments? (income:annual dividends VS cost:accumulated interest monthly payment) though, if its to start-up a business or such, by all means, pls do go ahead. everyone needs to get their hands dirty and experience the entrepreneur stages sooner or later(hopefully not much later, and its okay if u failed the first few steps, learn from it). QUOTE(sherrina @ May 22 2009, 10:16 PM) anyone know anything about standard chartered saddiq Personal Financing-i? I try to apply. I use my insurance policy info. Now in 70% stage, most probably will approve. But I'm kind of worry. The interest is 14-30% on reducing balance. Surely it's cheaper than credit card interest (coz I wanna use it to cut my credit card) but reading in this topic, it seems other banks can offer less than 10% per annum. Just got my loan approved. 20k from Standard chartered. 9.1% per annum on reducing balance (Islamic banking). Now can use the money to close all credit card and pay debts. I use my insurance documents to apply this loan. I thought with my current situation (self-employed, no EPF) hard to apply. But with SC, I can use insurance to apply. But the thing is, not sure those banks accept insurance policy info to apply for loan. Plz advice. |

(income:annual dividends VS cost:accumulated interest monthly payment) and this is not for short term actually, for long term. The money i planned not to use now, just for investment only. And only certain bank can provide low interest according to their T&C. If not, I want to go as low as i can for the interest, and it must flat rate. (^____^) |

Not sure about that but as long as you have a credit card, then there is a high chance for your personal loan to get approved. by the way, can i use credit card to apply hsbc personal loan? |

QUOTE(cheahcw2003 @ Aug 10 2009, 10:13 PM) no apply to everyone, the best rate is BSN personal loan, 1st 2 years is 3.8% flat, 3-4th year is 4.79%, max amount is RM200K, pls check the website for details Not true.99% of their loans cater for the government sector via salary deduction. the only private sector which they are willing to do are GLC's. |
