anyone tried to undervolt the 10th Gen proc? I read in forums that 10th Gen is not undervoltable because of the plundervolt itssue.

I've tried using Throttle stop and with -120 on core and cache also it will BSOD randomly on me.

Kindly enable "Game Mode" in ILLEGEAR Command Center and the FPS should increase by about 20. We have just tested Rimworld in our RAVEN SE just now.

It will be ready by this week. Order is assembled, QC is completed 50%.

Tons of unhappy people with alienware laptops due to unresolved thermal issues for years even after many iterations and not to mention the soldered wifi and RAM.
They even screwed area51m buyers by saying they won't be able to upgrade to rtx 3000 and only within the same generation although one of the plus point advertised with it was upgradability.

The biggest con of all would obviously be the price. Not sure why the prices in MY are just absurd for alienware and xps.

Big brand alternative to brands like illegear would be msi acer or lenovo imo as even asus laptops are too slim these days that thermals are affected.

what is your opinion about Brand like Commandos, Level 51, Gigabyte and Razer ?

Open your task manager see which graphics card is running your game. With the dual graphics card now it may have switched to your processor graphics card. I dont think it will lag for no reason.

Heat dissipation doesnt just depend on their fan profile but you are correct on that part. It also depends on how much airflow the fans can bring in, the total dissipation ability of the heatpipes and heatsinks etc. It can also depend on the thickness of the laptop as that directly correlates to the thickness of the heatsinks and how large the heatpipes can be

Was there any update to your bios? Out of the box when you bought it, were you able to undervolt higher?

If this was caused by bios update then we are all screwed until new bios comes out. Undervolting is the reason most are enjoying acceptable temps, else it would be around 90-95degrees which makes the laptop sounding like a jet engine and uncomfortable for gaming.

mind to share what software and the configuration? im finding way to undervolt too, no experience at all

i just noticed that while i gaming with plugged in adapter, my battery percentage will drop and it would trigger to charge it. normal ah?

this happen to me also lol, set to turbo mode without plugged in, it will lagged/spike, cant game at all
GPU running on 100% but temperature keep stable at 51 degree celcius....i think something wrong with illegear profile..... i only can game on plugged in

Any owner of the Raven-SE have any problem with their audio jack? Mine doesn't seem to be able to detect any of my headphones or earphones. The audio still comes out from the speakers eventhough my earphones are already plugged in.

please do update thanks! i just put in my order for the onyx g and same basic specs like yours. im curious to know just how long that huge battery would last. also would you ever plan to undervolt to try get lower temps?

Am not so well versed about laptops hence can only share my opinion about certain brand swhich I've read on.

Razer and gigabyte auros series are also kinda bad choices unless you really want something slim. Prices are absurd too. Commando and level51 shud be similar to illegear as they shud be using tongfang/clevo etc. Laptops.....

Anyway for illegear to be able to have an rtx 2070 super laptop for just 8k is pretty awesome....but at least from this forum it remains to be seen if any of the laptops can actually keep it from thermal throttling. Hopefully someone can share in the future. I'm not the fanboy type when it comes to laptops so if you're good, you're good, if not you're not lol.

Lastly I hope brands can stop trying to be so slim and light for their gaming series. 2.5kg/25mm is still fair imo. At least that gives the chance to have better ventilation and thicker and more heat pipes.

Ill do some test tonight and see if I can provide a solution. Ill try to run dota2 on battery and see what needs to be tweaked.
