Hi isis,

Yes we will have CNY sales.
All our models' power button are designed for users to press and hold for 2 seconds to boot up to avoid accidental press. Hope clarify.

Oh ic, lol.. so confusing everytime i press it. Thanks for the clarification!

To anyone with the Selenite or Onyx suffering from unusually high package power draw, follow these steps. Full credit to eddi3x3x3 on the notebookreview forum:

1. DO NOT use geforce experience
2. Reinstall the nvidia drivers using the NVcleaninstaller (https://www.techpowerup.com/forums/...an-installer-for-nvidia-drivers-alpha.249085/)

When you run the NVcleaninstaller, make sure you select the following:
1. Display Driver (need this obviously)
2. PhysX
3. HD Audio via HDMI
4. Microsoft Visual C 2017 Runtime
5. Optimus (Need that battery life right?)
6. USB-C driver (need this for display port over usb C)
7. Shield Wireless Controller (only if you plan to stream gameplay to another device, otherwise leave it unchecked)
8. Virtual Audio
Leave everything else unchecked until nvidia fixes this issue. My CPU wattage went down from an idle 12 W average to 1-2 W average.

I'm now getting less than 1w idle on both battery and while plugged in and this fix sticks through restarts. Who needs nvidia's dumb telemetry and GFE anyways. C states also drop down to C8 with mine being around 50 to 60% in C8

If you dont use geforce experience, wonder if auto update will still work...

Hi chittyserv, You may disable the notification by turning off the On Screen Display under the section "Other Settings" > "Turn Off OSD" in the ILLEGEAR Command Centre.

Sorry to bother, any quick opinions after using it? How does it feel? Im considering getting a lenovo already but the raven SE is really attractive.
*
Been using about a month now, raven SE not bad. Performance is top notch but here are the disadvantages that i see:
- the keyboard not very nice to type, the space bar sometimes if u press too side u will miss it
- after upgrading battery and removing the 2.5" slot dont expect a 1.9kg laptop
- dont like the 2second delay power button. u need to hold the power button 2 secs to boot the machine
- mouse is ok in sensitivity but the button is build into the keypad, meaning its not dedicated button for left and right click
- takes quite long to deliver your laptop if you're customizing it alot when purchasing. Try to pay the extra rm50 to get the laptop faster
- Speaker is sharp but not as loud as you would expect.

Pros
- dont get the 144Hz unless u really need it. screen looks nice and sharp
- performance is top notch
- design is simplistic and nice
- keyboard backlight is nice
- build is sturdy and no tacky plastic here and there
- easy to open the back cover to upgrade SSD or RAM (alot of manufacturers now like to actually prevent u from upgrading by making it difficult)
- having some connection at the back of the laptop is quite creative to prevent wires at the side

Generally....
- you need to consider where u using the laptop as this dont comes with windows license. if you're home user then u would not care about it

Cant remember anything else for now. biggrin.gif

How about the battery life? I feel it drains quite fast. Even on standby. But that's just 1 day. Need to continue using to be sure. Do you bring your charger around with your laptop? The charger is quite bulky. Any tips?

Yes change power profile. It's set to high perf. Make sure processor min is 0 max is 100

Hi, I'm using the Raven SE for about 3 months now. I realized the laptop switch on by itself during sleep mode and drained the battery till 0%. Have had disable the "allow wake timers" under the power setting.

Anyone face similar situation? And what would the solution be?
*
I had this problem on Msi last time, so far none on my raven se. Hope it doesn't happen to me. Do share if there is a setting to disable guys smile.gif

Read reviews that the raven has pretty bad audio. Does the raven SE improve on that, or is the audio performance similar between the two?

sharp but not loud enough

Eventually illegear will become like dell. Dell use to allow major customization but they cant deliver customized laptop on time so they decide to slowly reduce the customization allowed.

How about those warranty ending during these 4 weeks period and there cant claim their warranty due to MCO?

and warranty expired MCO lifted.
*
I believe you can nego with them per case basis if your laptop really spoil during this time. Anyway they still accept support case if spoil so u can log before or during MCO. After MCO then send in for repair.

Delivery, self collect dont have.

Been using their Raven SE for about 4 months now... so far so good in terms of performance and built quality. way better than MSI. MSI slightly cheaper but quality sucks! beware!
