I just contacted the technical support contact provided via their facebook chat, it seems that the technicians don't understand that fan speed should be directly proportional to the temp, very frustrating, I don't want to put my ears through constant torture of Max fan sound even for normal use rclxub.gif

We actively cool to decrease CPU temp, normal load CPU should not exceed 70 degree, you either want to burn your customers' hand or have them become deaf due to noise pollution from constant fan boost. DEAL WITH THE PROBLEM!! We didn't spend RM 5k plus just to have a passively cooled throttling piece of plastic slab!

Not every game require 100% fan to run, and the laptop goes to 90++ degree just with steam downloading a game, even a RM1k acer laptop knows how to increase fan speed to accommodate increase in temperature, I won't rant here if I'm not facing the problem, FIX IT!!

Hi lcpheng, just re-confirmed with the support manager Brenden who was conversing with you via Whatsapp. It's abnormal for RAVEN SE's fan not kicking in until 90++ degree Celsius by downloading game, it can be caused by wrong drivers installation or the hardware. Did you reformat your PC recently? Can we have your system to check next week?

Relax , bring it in for checking. My raven SE quite efficient in fan and heat dissipation. Play dota2 4 to 5 rounds around 70. With aircond 60+.

Maybe thermal paste never apply properly or something. Or some driver issue. Let the hardware team troubleshoot and fix it

Stop trying to blame your customer, I just got the laptop from you last week, means your technician wrongly installed drivers? I would be glad to send in the laptop but I'm over at Perlis at this moment, having waited for the laptop since April and it missing the ETA for 15 days, it's really a bummer. I would appreciate it if u can ask the technical team to provide me methods to self diagnose before sending it to you

With all the negativity happening on this discussion thread, keycap problem, thermal problem, long processing times, etc, etc.

just wanted to say as a Illegear Raven user for just over a year. I render alot a videos, pinning the processor at 100% quite often, I have no major complaints.

Same issue here, I ordered mine back at 25 April 2020~ Literally if no action by us, then like throw rocks into sea~

Me 5 months for work too so far so good, run 3 to 4 VMS for work and sometimes Dota2.

Playing triple-A titles with fan boost on thermal is fine and I'm really happy with the performance, problem is when you do other less demanding stuffs and you don't want to turn on fan boost, then the temp will go up to 95 degree then the CPU will thermal throttle. I don't think it's hardware problem. I was asking technician about the fan profile setting and that's how they responded.
