Does Illegear sell 8GB SODIMM 2666mHz RAM module for Raven separate/by it self?

I am considering to upgrade my current Raven from 8GB single channel to 16GB dual channel.

The RM170 amount is a bundle pricing with the purchase of a laptop. However for separate purchases, kindly click the 8GB RAM option to see the add-on price for the additional unit of 8GB RAM. Same goes to the 16GB (click the 16GB RAM option to see the add-on price for the additional unit of 16GB RAM), hope this clarifies smile.gif Official prices for the RAM upgrades at the moment are listed as below:

8GB DDR4 SODIMM RAM - RM299
16GB DDR4 SODIMM RAM - RM600

I see. Thank you for the clarification.

When I was digging around my Raven, I checked through the Raven Command Centre installation folder and found a 5 minute 55 seconds mp3 file named "oobeaaron" in C:\Program Files\OEM\Raven Command Center\OOBE.

What is this mp3 file doing on my laptop?

Does the RAVEN support dual boot with any linux distro? if so, which one? Ubuntu ? Fedora?
*
it probably does with either two physical storage drives (recommended) or multiple partitions (not so recommended).

Not another Raven. Raven, Raven Elite, Raven GTX 1060, Raven Lite and now Raven SE.

edit. no 144hz display and only intel 9462. but glad to see larger capacity battery.

Look like the trend now is membrane KB.

I personally prefer membrane over mechanical. Mechanical too loud.

A weekness of the Raven in my opioion is the speakers. So when I saw a Facebook post from Illegear about their new support page, I thought I would try to update my audio driver.

Just downloaded the latest "Audio" drivers for my Raven i5-8300H, GTX 1050 from support.illegear.com

Installation was a little complicated requiring multiple restarts and after it finally successfully installed I notice that speakers sounded better.

However both Sound Blaster Connect and Realtek Audio Console is now broken.
Realtek Audio Console says that it "dosen't support for this machine" and Sound Blaster Connect now says "Your audio device cannot be detected. Please check your connection". To be honest I don't care either applications and both were quite useless to me.

Just wanted to share my latest update on my Raven.

sad..my raven SE has been delayed more than a months..and yet to receive...
can we ask for refund or smth? was not really happy after all

bro be patient. I also had to wait over a month for my Raven. I ordered during my semestar and the laptop for me only arrived once my semestar break started. Once it will arrive, you won't regret.

It's one of these Illegear failed to predict the popularity and customer response scenario again.

last time oynx was more affodable however Illegear pushed it up the lineup allowing for the prooigy and rouge

Looks like Oynx Lite best bet for you. 9th gen and 8th not much different

7th gen and 8th gen different story.

How is the shipping courier like? I opted for the illegear shipping
*
Illegear uses DHL.

Personally had to collect my Illegear laptop from a petrol station due to some miscommunication with driver but otherwise ok.

Excellent online accessible tracking available.

something just happened to my raven's hinge. like it snapped? was using on lap, maybe I was holding it in the air with two hands having fun with the screen being lose and then heard a pop. any advice? i closed the laptop lid and can't open it anymore without the screen bezal poping off.

EDIT: So since the front screen bezal was popping off already, I gentle pulled it off completely and found my problem. Basically the left hinge is screwed in by 4 screws into plastic. Special screws are used I must add. Not just regular philips. But I guess my usage has caused the plastic to give up. So now I have a Raven with a busted left hinge and a tiny pile of broken off black plastic bits and since I live in Penang with no plans of traveling to KL anytime soon have no idea what to do.

I have come to the conclusion that my Raven does not switch it's display off and does not switch the keyboard illumination off when the lid is close.

Not sure if this is intended behaviour or not.

Any comment on this?

My Raven has locked up 4 times already in the last 24 hours as I'm working on a relative demanding project.

DRIVER POWER STATE FAILURE is what the blue screen of death reports.
