What? WASD is already RM100
BTW how many of u guys had Illegear's given NVME SSD dying or disconnecting from time to time? It is not the samsung one but the one with Illegear branding on it.

I'd encountered once, bios can't detect my Samsung NVMe HDD, reboot few times then back to normal.

You cannot compare the RGB keyboard with your keyboard because the way the keyboard is made is completely different. This keyboard uses black material for plastic injection to make the keycap because it's a non-rgb keyboard, there is no way this keycap will have paint drop at the edge (even it has you won't see it because the material is black), but at the same time this kind of keyboard doesn't have backlit / RGB feature. Our earlier models like RS-15, R-11 and RX-17 also use this kind of keyboard, and there is no paint drop case after 9 years....

The RGB keyboard uses transparent material to do plastic injection, after that they spray the keyboard with black paint to craft the letters, this is the way how most RGB keyboards are made nowadays. This method is called 天面印刷 in Taiwan/China.

The keycap has to be taken out from one whole keyboard (which costs RM400+) because the manufacturer doesn't sell single keycap (the paint drop of RGB keyboard is also not covered under ODM warranty.). And we are only charging RM25 for one keycap replacement...

If you have multiple keycap that has paint drop, we will charge RM25 + RM5 per keycap (RM30 for two keycaps for e.g.), because all the keycaps are taken out from one (1) single keyboard.

i hope the above clarify.

Thank you for clarify for your RGB keyboard, if this kind of keyboard really so fragile, don't you think it is not suitable for daily use laptop, especially gaming laptop? I'm now don't dare to play any games with my ILLEGEAR laptop.

If single issue has more than 2% out of the total volume then we are able to arrange a call back / free replacement with ODM, else they are treated as wear and tear. There aren't much users with the paint chip off on RAVEN SE and Q5 EVO (a few we received out of few thousands)...

Btw, we noticed your old thinkpad white letter paint is also worn off according to the photo below:

user posted image

The application of the white paint on the black keycap is exactly the same as the black paint on the transparent keycap of the RGB keyboard, hope clarify.

Yeah, for 6+ years old laptop still acceptable but for few months old so called gaming laptop, I speechless. Well, I'm 40 years old, have been using laptops for coding since graduated, this keyboard issue is the least expected to spoil.
