Ok tq.
Currently on a119 v2 and a118 (2nd car).
If a118 failed.. can upgrade.. 🤣

Hardly hear any Viofo fails here. Not saying it's perfect but it sure is pretty durable and reliable.

Am looking for the best budget capacitor dashcam. I quite like the Blueskysea as its small-sized and cheaper compared to the popular Viofo.
Only thing is that there are no local distributor/installers here.

If I buy it online; is there any shops able to help me install it?
*
did a little more research and found out about DDPAI dashcam which look quite impressive; and consirdering the DDPAI mini 3. I like the discreet size like the Blueskysea; except functions look more advanced. Seems like i can get it for Rm420+ online. The downside is i have to learn to install the hardwire kit myself.

But another thing is warranty; and if anything goes wrong, likely can't get help to fix it. So wondering if dashcams break down easily?

[Aliexpress Link]

I also found this local distributor selling ddpai but they have a different model called 9 Eagle. Anyone heard of this?

Hahaha, just in time I've an issue with my Viofo. I don't know what's wrong but I hope someone can pinpoint to the cause of it.

Been using hardwired (original from Viofo) A119v2 (GPS) since about a year back? Recently it randomly restarts.

At first I thought maybe it was the the road, I went through pothole/bump or something and dislodge the connection or so. So I went and check if there are any loose connection but I couldn't find any. Just yesterday, while my car was stationary at the traffic light, the dashcam randomly restarted again. So I've rule out my first suspicion but still doesn't solve my issue.

Anyone had similar experience before?

Try to reflash the firmware and see. Another thing is what micro SD card are you using? Could be that too.

Do you have GPS module? If yes, check the GPS module pin condition. Snap a picture of the pin condition.

Either DVR overheat or SD card problem. Try to use MLC type SD card.

Correct. Check the pin as Kintos mentioned. My A119v2, I added some thick tape in between the GPS module and the dashcam to let it stays fit and not loose.

I thought the tape thing was only applicable to a119 v1 as they have already fixed this issue in a119 v2's GPS mount's pins to a different type. No?

Thanks guys. Don't think anything is with the firmware because it has been working for like the past year. Only recent 2 weeks it started to randomly restart. Using Samsung EVO Plus 64 GB.

Yes, using the GPS module. I've read on the pin issues that's affecting the v1 but didn't know the v2 also face this. Forgot to take picture but I removed the dashcam, rub rub and slide it back in. Will update on this again. So far this morning was ok.

Apparently my A119v2 had slight gap, hence putting the double sided tap to solidify it. Anyways, no harm putting it and leave it there. Haha

Anyone here enabled the LDWS, FCWS feature? How's your experienced.. I've used viofo a119 for 3 years already, but never try the ldws and fcws feature. lol.. The dashcam still works fine but i can see the sdcard starts giving a corrupted file.. Maybe the sdcard is too old already, or maybe because i've never reformat it for very long time, at least over a year.. biggrin.gif

Hi all

I have been following this thread for some time now. I'm planning to install Viofo A129 Duo in my new car.

But my concern is my rear windscreen is heavily tinted. I'm thinking that the recording for the rear will come out dark because of the tinting. Or I should just go with single front cam?

Any opinion/feedback from u guys? Thanks alot.

Most accurate ADAS is from Thinkware. Other brands tried and are quite annoying and not full feature.

If you've been using the micro SD card for 3 years then better get a new micro SD card before the current card dies and you can't record anything.

Have to see the tint's darkness. Maybe can go over to Sicurez for them to check it out and advice you on this.

Nowadays is good to have front and rear dashcams. Not just front only d laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif
