I bought one B1W from Lazada lately. Everything seems promising. Bought it at RM 130 include shipping. If it's genuine, then it's a steal.

QUOTE(joshuatan17 @ May 18 2019, 05:29 PM) The quality is not bad on day time 1080p. However I notice the live viewing through WiFi is quite laggy. Not sure if it's out of the box like this. Will have to use for a week to see the overall quality |

QUOTE(blurjoey @ May 18 2019, 10:02 PM) Some Android phone will require to change to performance mode then the streaming will be fine. My S9+ used to do that if on balance mode but after turning on performance mode was ok. Now after the One UI update no such thing d. Ah, didn't know that. Will try.QUOTE(blurjoey @ May 18 2019, 10:03 PM) I'm tempted to order 200GB SanDisk A1 for parking mode on A129.But the pricing of 128GB Sammy also like very good. Dilemma..... |

QUOTE(widget @ May 23 2019, 04:42 PM) I did consider this QX800 as I was also looking for a 2-channel dashcam with screen. Apparently X350 is the only 1CH dashcam with LCD and Wifi. But as with other Thinkware dashcam with screen, they don't come with wifi so all the settings have to be done on the screen. That's just the way with Thinkware, either you get the screen or you get the non-screen with wifi Other dashcam with screens from other makers such as iRoad TX9, Viofo A129 all have wifi. Hopefully Thinkware could release Wifi connectivity as standard in future models. |

QUOTE(widget @ May 23 2019, 08:35 PM) Good to know that they used to make dashcam with screen and wifi, albeit the X350 is only 1 channel and their mid-range price version. The F800 pro is indeed an all rounder with built in GPS and Wifi. Not to mention the discreet design.I went to Sicurez thinking of getting the QX800 or X700 to replace my Mini 0906 but left with F800 Pro instead |

QUOTE(chronous @ May 31 2019, 12:13 PM) Hi guys, GLS Auto can assist you on that. You can pm their FB to get quote for pricing.Any shops around PJ that sells English version 70mai with hard-wiring installation? Or can suggest any other brand/model around that price range? How much it will cost? Thanks Recommended to get DVR with Capacitor instead of battery. Battery lifespan after a year tends to degrade hence recording easily corrupts. QUOTE(blurjoey @ May 31 2019, 12:43 PM) 70mai Pro only see got sellers but no installer. I second that, B1W is the best bang for buck capacitor dashcam. You'll need to find a car accessories shop that is willing to install hardwire for you. Look at B1W as its using capacitor instead of battery. |

QUOTE(Mr.Docter @ Jun 2 2019, 06:40 AM) Eh guys. Question: It's for convenient purpose. But that depends on how often you actually look at it. Most of the discreet cams are non-LCD. Except A129 Duo which has WiFi and LCD for this combo.Whats the practical difference between with LCD and without? Does it serve a significant improvement in function? |

I used to prefer suction mount until it gets annoyed for the lack of suction power due to heat from open sunlight. Highly recommended 3M double side tape. Also, it's a better stability when recording, comparing to suction mount that wobbles after awhile.
Hence the suction mount sucks.....(pun intended) |

QUOTE(andyng38 @ Jun 27 2019, 03:18 PM) Whoa camel! rm4-5k is mucho dinero. Maybe TS could make a list of decent dashcams with dual cameras between rm500-700 to help out those of us who have lesser budgets? 1st Page. Budget dashcam section.500 to 700 could get single or dual. Depending on your needs. Viofo A129 duo fits the pricing range. |

QUOTE(blurjoey @ Jun 28 2019, 10:14 AM) Thinkware micro SD card is using MLC NAND chips that's why is more expensive. OEM by Lexar Korea Just wondering does the F800 pro or Q800 pro firmware same as Korean set?Samsung Evo Plus is TLC NAND chips which are lower quality than MLC. I heard the Q800 Pro with 32GB and installation is about 2.4k. This their basic set. As in the firmware could be switch to other language besides English? |

QUOTE(blurjoey @ Jun 28 2019, 02:56 PM) Thinkware is more for the international market. In Korea, it is under iNavi brand (the parent company of Thinkware). Interesting. Can change language. Hong Kong and Macau is using Cantonese also » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Thanks for the info. I'm seeing parallel import for F800 Pro selling at RM1.5k - RM1.6k for duo set with parking kit. Tempting pricing ..... |

QUOTE(blurjoey @ Jun 28 2019, 03:08 PM) Yes cheap but the Safety Camera Alert won't work in Malaysia even if you flash Singapore firmware. So I've heard as well. Need to find the correct firmware The above will cause the F800 Pro to keep restarting itself once it gets a GPS connection. But then I suppose F770 is actually sufficient as to compare to F800 Pro. I'm waiting if there's a Flash Deals on F770. Trying not to put a HIGH G-Sensor shock to my wallet. |

QUOTE(widget @ Jun 28 2019, 05:28 PM) Considering Sicurez sell the F800 Pro for RM1.8k (when I installed mine in May), inclusive of installation and local warranty, the savings from the PI sets are not that great. 1.8k include installation is a good value! With Q800 Pro already available, maybe the price of F800 Pro will drop further The safety camera alert is quite useful too, especially on roads that we are not familiar with I wish the pricing for F770 is at better pricing point with installation. Now still over budget. |

QUOTE(enteraname1 @ Jul 7 2019, 10:30 PM) Decent budget - Viofo A129 duoPremium budget - Thinkware F770 QUOTE(kskoay @ Jul 8 2019, 07:50 AM) Hi all, Between those two, I would rather go for F770 for it's known reliability and durability.if compare iroad x9 (RM13XX, 32Gb) and thinkware F770 (RM16xx, 16GB), which one better and last longer? How about iroad x5, any one try before? As i know usually dashcam lifespan is not long due to hot weather in Malaysia, is that really a wise choice to invest money in dashcam? thank you I have Viofo A119 and A129 duo. Both are used a year plus. Cars are mostly parked under the sun. Therefore it's still safe to say it's working well now. Dashcams are like insurance. Optional but great to have em during dispute and coverage in an accident event This post has been edited by Keatsan: Jul 8 2019, 08:43 AM |
