Can't wait for A119 v3 to be out. Next week can pre-order from Viofo.

I hope I can use back the same mount. I hardwired and mounted it neatly and nicely for my a119 v2. Don't wanna re-do the wiring and mount again.

Hardly hear any Viofo fails here. Not saying it's perfect but it sure is pretty durable and reliable.

Hahaha, just in time I've an issue with my Viofo. I don't know what's wrong but I hope someone can pinpoint to the cause of it.

Been using hardwired (original from Viofo) A119v2 (GPS) since about a year back? Recently it randomly restarts.

At first I thought maybe it was the the road, I went through pothole/bump or something and dislodge the connection or so. So I went and check if there are any loose connection but I couldn't find any. Just yesterday, while my car was stationary at the traffic light, the dashcam randomly restarted again. So I've rule out my first suspicion but still doesn't solve my issue.

Anyone had similar experience before?

Try to reflash the firmware and see. Another thing is what micro SD card are you using? Could be that too.

Do you have GPS module? If yes, check the GPS module pin condition. Snap a picture of the pin condition.

Either DVR overheat or SD card problem. Try to use MLC type SD card.

Correct. Check the pin as Kintos mentioned. My A119v2, I added some thick tape in between the GPS module and the dashcam to let it stays fit and not loose.

Thanks guys. Don't think anything is with the firmware because it has been working for like the past year. Only recent 2 weeks it started to randomly restart. Using Samsung EVO Plus 64 GB.

Yes, using the GPS module. I've read on the pin issues that's affecting the v1 but didn't know the v2 also face this. Forgot to take picture but I removed the dashcam, rub rub and slide it back in. Will update on this again. So far this morning was ok.

Just an update, so far recently it's ok. I guess it's the connection that causes it.

Does 70mai A800s user (or any built-in battery dashcam) experience long term failure due to heat ?
Thinking of buying one but my car half day park under the sun
*
Don't have experience on A800s but generally get a capacitor based dashcam if you're exposing your car under the hot sun everyday. It might just swell and leak after a period of time.

Yes depending on the dashcam if it has a voltage cutoff. But I'm giving an example as he mentioned that he will park the car for 4-5 days.

Also, anything below 12v is dangerously low and might be able to start the car's engine. I usually set mine at 12v or 12.5v previously but now using an external dashcam battery pack for parking mode so I just off the voltage cutoff. The battery pack can record more than 24 hours on the external battery.
*
Is it hardwired to automatically charge everytime you run the car? I am thinking of getting one. Currently I set my voltage cut to 12.4V and dashcam cutoff at 24h in case the cut off failed.

Hardwire will switch to the car battery for power to the dashcam's parking mode. Also will power the dashcam when the engine starts.

What dashcam are you using? Only those with hardwire kit installed can set the voltage cut off as it requires monitoring the voltage of the car battery.
*
I know how hardwire parking dashcam work. Using one - Viofo 3-wire set to 12.4V cut off.

My question is on your external dashcam battery. Is the external dashcam battery wired to the car to charge automatically when the car is running so you can leave the external battery perpetually in the car and almost will never run out of juice.

I have a Viofo A119v2 (no CPL filter) having focus issue below. Anyone knows what's wrong with the focus on the lens? I've cleaned it, adjusted it but still having the same issue. Recorded using 1440p30.

Is it the end of the cam which was bought in 2018?

blurjoey sifu, any idea on this? I read somewhere that it could be the heat and dislodge the lens thus causing it unable to focus.

Probably I'll try tinkering with it during the weekends
