I recently installed VECARO ts10. After 3 days.. it stopped working... it's like white backlight with nothing on the screen. I used a simcard ejector to press RST and its working fine now.

I'm having 2nd thoughts now coz it's pretty new to act this way.

Hi all
Can anyone recommend a dashcam mount that allows rotation as what was done in the above video thread?

Googling online, I found many suction type designs on Lazada/Shopee etc but from experience these suction type mounts can’t last long in Malaysian weather

Any recommendations please ?

I'm still using ori GoPro suction mounts from 2014. Maybe 1 or 3 times a year it'll come unstuck from windscreen on a hot day, no big deal. It's a minor inconvenience for the ability to quickly turn the dashcam to where it's needed.

With that having been said, I have no idea if GoPro's current offerings are as reliable. I have also bought el cheapo mounts from Shopee costing just a few ringgit each for casual use. My 2 sen: AVOID those. They can easily jiggle loose in moderate potholes/when going offroad.

Anyone has any insights why Samsung Pro Endurance cards are giving error beeps and messages on a Toyota stock dashcam that comes with the Vios?

The car came new with a default 16GB card by Pendrive brand that looks like this: https://www.pendrive.com.my/index.php?route...&product_id=128

Replaced with Samsung Pro Endurance 128GB: https://www.samsung.com/my/memory-storage/m...mb-mj128ka-apc/

Toyota manual states dashcam supports up to 128GB and Class 10: https://www.toyota.com.my/content/dam/malay...-(DVR)-Vios.pdf

Surely Samsung's specs meets those requirements?

Would like to ask, is anyone using the 70Mai M300? Can this dashcam be used at both front and rear of the vehicle? I presume the performance of this one is decent?

Also, what is the difference between hardwire and plugging the unit(s) into the cigarette lighter charger? Is the hardwire any good? I've plugged the dashcam to the cigarrette lighter all this while. I'm currently using the 70Mai basic dashcam but it failed to work recently after 4 or 5 years so it's time for a new one. The 70Mai M300 costs RM175 at the moment.

Isnt the m300 a single cam device?, how could it record both front & rear?
A what is called "2 channel" or "dual channel" or "front & rear" model is required if want to record 2 different views.

Typically, a hardwire would usually mean it has constant recording regardless if the vehicle is turned on, however it all depends on where the source of power is taken. Usually cig lighter is only active when vehicle is turned on (or ACC). But one can still hardwire without 24/7 recording if tap into an ACC source instead of constant/BATT.

Thanks for the response. I am aware the M300 is a single camera. My understanding is to have 2 cameras, one at the front windscreen while another one at the rear windscreen to take videos at the front and rear, or my understanding is flawed?

Ok understood on the concept of hardwiring, thanks. So hardwire will enable 24/7 recording even though the vehicle is turned off, parked anywhere. So by plugging the device into the cigarette lighter, the dash cam will not take any videos if the vehicle is turned off. I presume hardwire will involve connecting the wiring from the dash cam to the battery of the vehicle. Since the M300 has 24H Smart Parking Surveillance feature which the basic 70Mai model doesn't have, I guess it needs to be hardwired instead of getting plugged into the cigarette lighter to enable the 24H recording feature.

A dashcam is not aware there it is placed, so yea. But a proper 2channel solution would be ideal. Only 1 power source, method of access, storage, etc.

Yes correct, and proper device would have a voltage cutoff to prevent completely draining the battery.

Thanks for the information. Appreciated. If that is the case, the M300 is out. Need to go find a proper 2-channel model which records both front and rear with a single tapping power.

I am also using this Samsung Pro Endurance 256GB card bought from Shopee Samsung official store
Been using it for about a year on my Viofo A139 2K cam - no problems but now I changed car and bought a new Viofo A229 Pro 4K cam and now it is beeping sometimes. Gives Card Slow message and asked me to format. But it doesnt happened all the time. Lately I havent heard the error beeps. The Samsung Pro Endurance is one of the cars NOT recommended by Viofo. Anyway I still using it. I suggest to format either using PC or using the cam itself. Try both.
