Hi, does your model A129 plus came with emmc 16gb model? Samsung pro endurance is no longer supported by viofo dashcam officially.

You can try to tap the camera to simulate the '!' recording or just press the emergency button to check your ro folder.
*
No, mine doesn’t come with integrated 16gb. Mine is the one duo plus.

I tested press the emergency button and yes it did record to RO folder though.

Really thanks for your time in helping.

Feeling rather helpless after both incident didn’t record just the particular clip 😅

So pressing emergency button is working fine. Since you have hardwired, I believe you have the correct wiring and using parking mode.

You should do test switch off engine, then some hard tapping the camera body from side to trigger the '!'. Then check the RO folder.

If you not using parking mode, the camera should have remaining power to safe writing into memory for few second upon engine off. Any video recording is corrupted on the last file or not written into memory is due to capacitor or memory card issue.

Somehow Samsung pro endurance is no longer supported by viofo officially might be issue here or the camera capacitor.

Thanks a lot for your help KIntos!

The hardwired part I paid to accessories shop to do it though.

Eventually the accident happened during my car is running because I don't really use the parking mode.

I checked back my memory card, it indeed do record 1 minute after the engine is off as well.

Any memory card that you personally would recommend? and do you have any method to test out whether it is working or not?

It's strange that you get 1 min recording after engine off. Normal recording without parking mode enable, you only get the recording saved successfully just right after engine off. You won't get the next 1 min after engine off.

Viofo memory card

i recently installed my 70mai A810 front and rear dashcam.

i use the Dashcam Electrostatic Sticker provided in the box to paste them on my front and rear windscreen.

after installing them, i felt like lowering down the dashcam position (now it was blocked the rear view mirror), as the rear camera allows me to view the back while parking etc..

can i actually shift the position down directly? Dashcam Electrostatic Sticker is it reusable?

Yes it is reusable. Just clean the part of the windscreen u want to reposition the camera to, and stick it back on.

In the unlikely event that u need a new electrostatic sticker, it can be found in shopee.

Wrong person to ask about sandisk. Bought 3 class 10 sandisk micro sd cards for use in cameras (not dashcams), 2 failed on first use. The computer shop gave me replacements which worked...and failed after a year. YMMV.

Been using samsung ever since then, no problems.

where did u buy the microcard from? there are many fake products for memory cards online. especially via shxpxx sellers.

sandisk i never encounter any failure before for genuine products. but i did buy a fake product online before via ebay seller long long time ago. also use for few times already spoiled and buyer denied that it is fake. better buy from official store only.

Was from a PHYSICAL shop which i've been buying from since 2004. They've always treated me right. 1 on 1 exchange within 1 week of purchase for any item with defect. I won't mention the name of the shop, but bad batches of ori Sandisk cards do and have happened.

I saw this in YT amgmoh reviews too. The list of approved cards doesn't have this Samsung card.

Strangely, Sicurez bundles this card in their viofo cams.

Hello everyone,

I have been using a more than 10 year old Garmin GDR 45 and rear GBC 30 dashcam .

Lately I think the dashcam is failing an am looking to upgrade to a 70mai or similar front/rear cameras.

My garmin rear camera wire was well installed (hidden) by a shop using the mini USB to mini USB cable.

I was wondering if anyone can recommend a DVR still using that type of cable. I prefer not to use USB-C adapters or doing the entire rewiring again.

I just need a basic front/rear dashcam so I can reuse the micro usb cable.

I don't have this issue with the front power cable, so I am ok to use what comes in the box with the new camera.

I am using the same GDR 45 but no rear cam for more than 10 years also. Recently the holder cracked that it could not hold the cam anymore. I recalled last time I bought it at quite expensive price.

Changed to 70mai A810.

The reuse the cable maybe u can see if adapter (converter) works, if yes then it gives u no restriction on the model u can use. Nowadays dashcam is cheap even for a full set front and rear cameras (basic one).

Dear all, for 2-channel cams, does each of the recordings of front and rear cams start and end at the same time for the files stored in sd card?

Let's say for this particular video clip, the start time of front camera is 2:45:00 pm, will the clip from the rear cam also starts at the same time?

Asking because I am currently running separate cams for front and back, so getting synchronised files is an added step. Thinking of upgrading to 2-ch for ease of video retrieval.

Dear all, is there any service provider in Malaysia that knows how to install/set up full, all-directions recording that protects us even from the sides?

Something like the product below (it's called Black Box My Car, but it's only available in the US):
