Just tried the wipe cache method, let's see if there is any noticeable difference.
I never had issues with Samsung battery (coming from my previous S8+) because I charge it whenever I am in the office using the wireless charging dock.
i tot u said half of the s pen was still inside the phone
how the sc ppl got it out?
I took it out myself, use something sharp cucuk inside, cause where it broke it has a small hole, so poke inside the hole and pull it out, Was rather easy did it in one try, didn't use gule also
Battery life on Feb 2019 patch. This is my wife usage. 95% on WiFi. When this phone was my main phone, the most i got at 4-5 hours (30-40% WiFi, balance on mobile data).

Should be more concerned on the person than the SOT 9h30m in 13 hours
Just updated to the March security patch...its super snappier...everything seems so fast....not sure about the battery yet...performance wise, awesome!!!

Ok guys..
New Note 9 user here..
I bought the unit from a seller in LYN.. It's sealed unit, but with 7 months warranty left...
I want to know what's the average 'normal' phone use for the battery...
I'm getting only <4 hours SOT... which feels like not normal... Altho i've only used the phone for like a week... not sure if it'll be normal later...
your SOT should be higher, do you hav many apps in your fon ?

Sounds weird, sealed unit but with 7 mths warranty left???
Can't really remember why.. He's supposed to sell the phone last year (he's a trader or some sort). But went to oversea and came back this year... He's clearing up the stock...
He said the warranty up to August.. But when I check, it's 31/10 XD

The seller (i bought mine at LowYat) cautioned me the risk of balance warranty period if buy thru online. Some of the reputed store offer quite competitive price and the seller said certain seller activated the phone serial number to get incentive from Samsung. I wont know that if i din complain why price before CNY i got 2750 but last 3weeks ago the same store quoted me 2950.
My wife is housewife. Just stay at home doing most of the time. So not much movement, thus GPS not much change. Utilize WFi most of the time. Dont have Facebook. So i disabled all FB related stuff and bixby related stuff. Only use Instagram as social media and small biz stuff. Notification fully ON for email, WhatsApp and IG (3 main apps for her). Screen WQHD.

Means, still eligible for warranty within that period, right? I thought something else
Seller already mentioned me the warranty period before I buy, and I'm OK with that.
At least the seller is honest. Some may not lucky. Imagine their hp broken, send to service center and being told warranty expire eventhough the person produced the receipt that the handphone being purchased 6months ago.
Samsung SC really generous changing batteries for Note8 & Note9 users, you can try too if you hav too much free time Fifa Mobile is game right ? Battery usage by games usually higher yes ? If like that your fon seems normal to me
For those who have try changing their battery at SC...
Will the be any cosmetic damaged to the phone? I remember when I try asking about changing Note 5 battery, they said cosmetic damage will highly possible...

You mean initially the phone warranty is until Aug-19 as mentioned by the seller but when you check it is up to end of Oct-19? Then when you bought your phone?

Thanks for sharing the info, I have to be extra careful now when purchase smartphone through online. I didnt expect this kind of thing can happen, I only thought of it happen under condition of: warranty activated --> about to ship/in shipping --> buyer cancelled order --> seller

I told her I format reset and wipe data liao. She told me I reset myself and they reset at Samsung are different.
tell her to eff off. i went there twice dy. i went once, they reset it for me. then im.like okay nvm then on the same day i go again, this time in the evening, they say will change motherboard and batteey for me, but for me i think they didnt change, cause same battery drain.
if you can lodge a bloody complaint against them, i rather go to midvalleys samsung service centre.

do let us know your outcome. and may i know who was the lady that served you? the one with a specs?
There is only 1 girl at the counters. The rest r guys .
I send my n9 to service centre The pavilion , they agreed to change battery within 2 hours. Then something GG happens. They told me my phone is actually already kena buka, the sticker on top of one screw is broken, so they said they cant change battery for me as it is not under warranty(warranty sticker void). But they will me to do report to samsung HQ about this matter as i bought my n9 new from Senq and never being repaired. I attached my purchase receipt to them and they will rectify it with HQ. So instead of successfully change my phone battery , now my phone is with samsung pavilion for further rectification. They will try to rectify it asap as i told my flight back to sarawak is on Sat

why go sunway pyramid
i hate that branch
last time using note 8 i want to PAY more money to buy the extended warranty
those staff give me lan si replies and faces
fck u lah. i want to give you make more money, not claiming warranty.
that sunway branch is not official samsung branch as its franchised to 3rd party but its "authorized center"
the staff hired there are mostly ah bengs. so explains the lan si attitude back to customer.
should go 1utama service center next time, the service is better as it officially from samsung

ya because its ran by a bunch of typical ah bengs and ah lians
thats why their shitty faces
do you know when i stepped foot into garden's branch
i was greeted well and even for a simple matter, they treat it professionally and explain to me.
and 1u branch i went over just to check on my warranty status because apparently sunway's branch did not provide me any extended warranty certificate
but even then 1u branch samsung service center took the time to check + explain to me as long as its in the system, your warranty is valid + teach me how to claim for it when needed.
BUT you know how sunway branch told me when i asked about my cert status???
this was how they replied... "we gave you the receipt already. means valid"
wtf.

WHAT THE HELL. how else can they reset a phoneeeeee ffs

go wisma bentley, pavillion, lowyat and garden de sc will do..good services.. Sunway de i see the outlet so small with inexperienced staff work there...
i have to admit. staff at sunways service centre seems professional but when it comes to service, zero professionalism and they have "eff you" attitude

You can find it in lazada and shopee. They are cheap and good. I bought 2 from Lazada for RM1O - RM15. Choose one with output with at least 5V - 2A. Cheaper ones output rated at 5V -1A.
I think the march update made the battery worse compared to the February patch.
Yeah, try wipe cache after every update. Sunway brand did nothing wrong . it is just that they answered u in a very straight forward manner...
yes , we gave u receipt, means its paid and the extended warranty is captured . take good care of the receipt and dont need to worry if samsung database never got trail.
if like 1U reply, its in the system , ppl can delete it , so keeping the receipt its still a better way

yes its nothing wrong
but its the attitude
im a customer, i paid good money for the phone
its not like i bought midrange phones and expect premium services
i expect some services with proper manners and answers.
i am not expecting some ah beng style type of services or replies.
because if other branches can treat customers better, why sunway branch cant?
its the same like how apple fuks you over when they tell you its user problem (even though in a nice way) when its claimable, but they make it very hard for you to claim and push the problem back to you if you dont know how to argue back.
you as a customer who paid 7k for a phone, you definitely expected a better answer or at least a proper solution... than pushing back the problem to you
its all about the attitude when it comes to after sales services.
customers will normally stick to the brand automatically if the after sales is good.

Dont have equipment to test max output. I use a 5v/2A charger with 2.4A cable. Charging time from 30% to 100% under 2 hrs. The one I use in office (the black rectangular one) output is only 5V/1A. It took about 3 hrs to charge from 40% to 100% today but I was also using the phone while charging.
For car wireless charger see a few post after #2690. Recommended. The phone will charge to full even when using GPS, data and Waze while driving.
i think there's one option missing, i used to pick up call by tapping the green phone icon when phone ringging, lately i cant do it, need to swipe, tries to look for tbe option, cant find it anywhere, i think its under accesibility

Did you buy your Note 9 during pre-order as most of the 1st batch Note 9 encountered this issue? Just head to any service center and they will change the camera module for you on the spot which you just need to wait for 1-2 hours. 😊

What is this issue actually? When people say buzzing, is it a constant sound?
I tried to test with mine and I feel a small vibration on my phone when I zoom around 2x, after that it's fine no matter how much I zoom. Is this it? Cause mine is also 1st batch.
Already wiped cache but battery life still terrible now...overnight on idle it drains at least 20%. Need to head to SC then.
Remember to tell them you had performed factory reset if you wish to change the battery. When I bring mine to Service Center, they wanted to explain to me the reasons for battery drain...bla bla bla then I straight tell them I had performed Factory reset twice but still the same. They straight kept quiet and help me to change the battery. 😂

hi bro.. does your phone rhinoshield crashguard button easy to press? or does it need put in some pressure?
Power and bixby button are easy to press. However, the volume button is stiff to press when it come out of the box. You need to use a small sharp knife to cut the crevice of the case volume button, just a slight cut will do. Afterwards, the volume button will be easy to press. 😉

Doesn't it trap a lot of dust? I saw a lot of reviews that it will snap like rubber band after a few months usage. What do you use to protect your back cover?
should i go to SC and replace batt? since pie, my phone sot gg, wipe cache thrice, but havent factory reset yet.
I have similar SOT if I use my phone for 20++ hours. The battery drain in Samsung is bad. However, i can easily get 6-7 hours SOT if I use it continuously like watching YouTube or Netflix. But of course I need to charge my phone after 12 hours or less. I think we shouldn't be too obsessed with SOT alone. There are many factors that can affect it. For me, I'm happy if it can last me whole day with the way I like my phone to be without heavily tweaking this and that.

Nope, seldom trap dust. I just use Dbrand Camo Skin to protect my back cover. Been used this combo for about 5 months, so far so good. The case still firm and saved my phone from multiple drops.

UPDATE on my case :
SAMSUNG called me this afternoon saying that my IMEI is actually not yet registered by SENQ since i bought it last year NOVEMBER. So they asked me to verify with SENQ and asked SENQ to register my warranty. After registeration is done, then i can only submit my phone for claiming new battery and motherboard, then Samsung will rectify again as there is sticker void inside the phone...
Outside my Note 9 box got sticker of e warranty malaysia and Samsung malaysia dstribution.. Is there anyway to check it is AP or samsung malaysia set?

safe? any drops so far ? is the bumper sticky eg; stuck when taking out of jeans...whole pocket come out.
I used before on S8. It was slippery. I wasn't used to it and got rid of it after a week, but now I'm tempted to try on note 9 again cause it's very slim.

For my case, i check in the web site https://www.samsung.com/my/support/warranty/ that my phone is registered and warranty till 29/02/2020 but when i sms "PC IMEI" to 62002 the reply was my IMEI not yet registered.. Now i am confused. why in the web site got my warranty status and registered under my serial no. but Samsung service centre said mine not yet registered and no info from "PC IMEI" to 62002

Don't use that warranty status site.. The info on that page aren't correct...
Chat with their CS and ask for the device warranty...

Why don't you just use Samsung member app and its live chat? Easy peasy.
hi, do you guys know how to disable the home gesture in game mode? say when i am in a game mode, accidentally swipe up from the home button will exit the game into the home page. Previously when swipe up in game mode, it will bring up the navigation buttons first. This was enabled last time but after the recent updates, it got disabled and i cant find here to turn it back on.
Did you buy your Note 9 during pre-order as most of the 1st batch Note 9 encountered this issue? Just head to any service center and they will change the camera module for you on the spot which you just need to wait for 1-2 hours. 😊
Yes. Pre-order set. Just walked in for warranty claim yesterday, fixed in 1 hour+. Now the auto focus is blazing fast. Saw the part price list, note 9 camera module RM450, motherboard RM1300, display RM750, back glass RM250, battery RM160, all exclude labour.

I havent apply the update.. But i too play games.. what i remember was, if you select gesture no more navi bar will appear when your swipe up from any buttons, doesnt matter in game mode or non games mode..
If you enable navi bar, then only you could have that type of behaviour.. swipe up in game mode it will bring navi bar..
You can check navi bar on setting > display > navigation bar
Try explore below setting in games mode.. not sure thou how it was now after the update .

If we need to change the screen .does sc change the batery also ?
Last time..for N8. Sc change also the batery while i claimed the screen
can try to claim together
just tell them to help check the battery as well because you're experiencing high drainage despite after formatting
and indicate abit that you know tech so they wont push you to "try reformat again" first
also if they start to pattern and ask why now only claim battery
you tell them "i dont want to send my phone in twice as i need the phone to make money, might as well do together now since im sending the phone in for repairs"

the bumper allows any tempered glass to be fitted on?
For me, I didn't used any screen protector or tempered glass since I bought the phone, so not sure about it. You can try Google about it, if I not mistaken, it should fit well with Whitestone UV tempered glass.
Not good. Note 9 should be able to get 7-8 hours screen on time.
Try to go to device care, change the settings
Battery settings -Enable adaptive battery -Enable Put unused apps to sleep -
Power Mode Medium power saving Go to Display Screen resolution: change to FHD+
If you do not use facebook frequently: uninstall/disable the app.
I havent apply the march update on pie.. But i would like to ask, for max display setting wqhd, and power node optimised, with auto brighness on.. wht is the expected average SOT i should be expecting.. Data from 8 tp 5, then wifi while at home..
Cause with above, mine can give SOT average 4.5 hours only..
QUOTE(noteuser25 @ Apr 4 2019, 06:26 AM)
why buy this phone if you cant maximise the phone out of it.
the real.reason is the chipset. if snapdragon, definitely will last longer than the exynos version
I prefer to used the max capabilities of this phone.. so im using wqhd.. Just that battery life not in favour of wqhd..
Are you sure exynos is the cause of this, if yes samsung really fak us up side down..

trust me. exynos chipset is not as power saving as the snapdragon's. you can check the note 9 user in Usa. almost everyone achieve a high SOT with those battery draining apps like Facebook.

With full display resolution settings, hotspot 4.5G, bluetooth enabled, facebook enabled and no power saving mode : I get around 5.5 hours screen on time on Exynos 9810. I am not sure whether this is due to Exynos 9810. If adaptive battery is enabled: I think OneUI learns our usage and optimizes the battery performance.
With power saving mode and facebook disabled, hotspot 4.5G and bluetooth on : I get around 7.5hours : Can get through 1 whole day without plugging in.

So, i don't really know how to take care of my phone and therefore it has fell multiple times from various heights and most of the time the S-pen will detach itself.
Last week fell from a knee height chair onto a carpet and the s-pen tip fell off. So i being a dumbass decided to just tape the pen and put it in again thinking what could go wrong, little did i know the back tip was the pushing thingy mechanism and now my s-pen is stuck inside my phone

anyone facing microphone issue? sometimes it can't be heard at the other end, so frustrated. i've updated latest firmware , factory reset. it is still the same. Did hardware test, no problem found. Unless daily use, otherwise while testing surely no problem .

Glad to hear sammy Cs is still perform good after sales services.
this is what i got....after update... cleared cache.. anticisu disabled..
Download Accubattery to check whether it's your battery problem.
If yes, go to the service center and address this problem and hopefully they will change the battery for you.
If no, I suggest to lower the brightness of the screen. I disable the adaptive brightness and set only 20-30% on normal use. (Occasionally under sunlight only set to 60-70%)

My SOT can go up to 7-8 hours.
Hope that helps.
Great setup After March 19 update so far so good From 1am to 10am data/wifi on, battery drop 1% only
1am to 10am drop only 1% is very good leh, none of my phone can do that... Samsung, Huawei, xiaomi... all at least drop few percent overnight.
Sometimes it depends on your phone and settings. Like for my case from what I know, Whatsapp will run backup at 2am...Play Store will do some checkup too (I remember seeing it running when I was still awake watching Youtube around 2-4am) and other things as well.
Funny how the most popular topic is always about battery life. Although mine is only 1 month plus old, I think the battery life is great (better than my S8+ which was already quite good).
This is something cool that I noticed with the Note 9 (not sure if I am a noob). I recently started using Spotify (I previously just use Youtube for music when I was using my Galaxy S8+).
So my Bluetooth is always on....and I noticed each time I get into my car, it will automatically connect to my car's bluetooth (nothing unusual here because of handsfree feature).
But what is unusual is, Spotify will automatically run and play music (or resume whatever I was listening on Spotify) through my car's audio (connected via Bluetooth).
I don't think this should be a Samsung or Note 9 exclusive feature....but it is quite cool. I mean, I didn't even set it up to do such a thing but it just does....playing music on its own when I am in my car.
Like I said, I am a Spotify noob, just started using it when I got my Note 9 which was a month ago.

its a spotify feature
they are always in sync.
mobile/desktop will continue where you left off
most likely it just passes on the music data on your phone to the bluetooth receiver in your car
I found out Wechat 24 hours running n mostly drain the battery more compare to others. Others apps disable Switch to night mode n all dark back ground will save battery power Uninstall apps that less use n running all the time Will monitor time to time

Cool that it initiates without me doing anything. Like in the morning, I just start up the engine and before I even move my car (and the phone is still locked in my pocket), the music starts. The previous time I open up the Spotify was last night when I was driving home (I might have even close/clear all app before I sleep).
Thanks for letting me know, really a Spotify noob.
is it too late to buy note 9 right now since note 10 is just like few months away? I saw the 6/128gb version only RM2515 at shopee quite tempting, will you guys recommend other people to get this phone after using note 9 for so many months?
So far are there any major issue with this phone?
Browsing through the thread, saw people complaining note 9 battery draining fast after latest update, is it true and so its best to not update the firmware if i bought note 9?
About wireless charging, does it work with any other brand wireless charger? Will the battery degrade faster with wireless charging compared to charging with cable?
How about the phone GPS? im using average 2-3 hours of waze / google map daily, does the battery drain fast?
Thanks and appreciate if anyone willing to answer my question

Performance wise no issues for me. Battery life is around 5 to 6 hours sot before i have to charge. Only major issue is the camera buzz issue which is covered under warranty. Apparently it affects first batch of note 9. For me GPS use still ok but then i never really bother much about battery drain so far cause I just charge it when its low. Never really notice any battery drain.
Would I still get it now? Well at that 2.5k price probably this is the best value you can get. Other options would be the base p30 or an s10e (smaller phone+battery). If you don't have an urgent need to upgrade I'd say yeah just save your money and wait for the note 10. Of course getting note 10 at launch is going to cost more too.

I also bought my Note 9 just a month ago, hopefully a different batch from the earlier owners who have the camera problem. I bought from Shopee too, for around RM2.6k
I use wireless charging everyday in my office. No comment on whether the battery degrade faster or not compared to charging with cable. I do use Samsung original fast wireless charging though, a free gift from my earlier phone, the S8+.
I will probably change to Note 10 when it comes, because I would like to have the super wide angle len as per S10, but probably not preorder it (unless the preorder bundles are amazing). Will wait for it to drop to RM2.6k again and hopefully with the initial problems already ironed out.

I personally don't find 8gb ram on 512gb will do much improvement over 6gb version. So 6gb/128gb version for 2.5k would be great. Performance very nice and fluid. Stigma of samsung phone getting slow over time should be gone now.
And for battery, i realized it's depend a lot on how your telco network area. If bad, then will drain more. Nowadays telcos are having issue with their tower. Might consider that too.
I've read/ heard contradicting info about using DeX for note 9. Read note 9 only need type c to hdmi cable to use DeX but guy from Samsung told me cannot. Pening. Btw, has anyone tried this dock before?

4 months away
i would say yes
but if the note 10 is not up to your liking or its way too expensive for anyone
we can always go back to the note 9, im sure they are still selling it + lower price in 4 months time
question to all have battery drain issue, did you guys use wireless charging? is it original samsung or 3rd party?
Battery drain is after the battery was charged so it doesn't matter whether the wireless charger is samsung or 3rd party. What matter is the price between samsung and 3rd party's

Note 9 so far so good No issues of battery drain Can use any wireless charger All depends on personal preference using the phone
For those who were asking about whether to get Note 9, i still recommend it. But better top up a bit get s10 or s10e lah. Much better processor. On the other hand,my SOT with heavy usage still around a day with 8 hours on screen. So not bad at all.
And for the case, i bought uag ciplak from shopee. Not bad also lah. Two major drops still survive haha

get a better casing . wont cost much only .. changed 1 spigen casing . luckily survive after a 1m drop ..lol.
Whoa, very brave. Haha. Can share some photo of note 9 with skin? Checked dbrand website, no discount at moment. Haha.. Yeah better than naked i guess. What skin? Cool.. How's the look of it? Soft jelly case?
Feel good hold it on hand Anyone interest led case can pm
Getting rhinoshield solidsuit for myself. Using rhinoshield bumper for few of my previous phones. Some spigen and ringke, both are great too. Won't the case get softer and expand over time and becoming loose over time? Nice.
Great Maybe will get uag case later since naked look risky but feel so good on hand, ladies.
The front camera that unable to focus sometimes, is it the lens problem or software? It seems affected few owners.
my selfie cam detects and focus on face ... pic seems not sharp at all as if there were some stains on the len .. i cleaned the lens la of coz way below my expectation .. even my old s7e selfie cam is better

Mine is the focus. Sometimes it became blur and take a few seconds to refocus. Few posts back, there are other members having the problem after the Feb update.

Possible that your beauty mode is on cause by default its at level 2 try turning it off top right corner
Been using note 9 since August last year... and battery health is 92% which is 3671 mAh.. Is it normal?
Ok lah still above 90%. These kind of battery will degrade over time. If you feel like your battery life getting worse and at an unacceptable level for your daily use eg have to bring powerbank everywhere, constant charge. Then best is to go SC make some noise claim free battery change before warranty over

They refuse to change camera part because they said after reset camera setting it back to normal. Ask me try another week. Any suggestion?
I think this would be SOP. They cant change since its working fine after reset. Since the phone is under warranty, then continue to use. If it happens again, then its time to force them to replace.

if same problem come back after my warranty over?

If required, escalate to Samsung.my cs and SC will change for you.
i sure ask them change for me. i even video the vibrate and buzz. in case it back to normal when bring to sc. and luckily i read some one post here saying that is easy to detect if try zoom in out to bright light.

Huawei usually will offer battery change for discounted price for old models. Wonder why Samsung don't do that considering their battery is not as good as their competitor.
Woahh super nice.. Hope this concept coming to Note 10 too.. To me the punch hole concept makes no different. I like dew drop notch looks neat than punch hole

dont think so can put in note10... because this type dont have ip68 rating...
why mid range phone can get >32mp cam... while flagship like s10 only get 16mp?? even the selfie cam on a70 is 32mp.... s10 only 10mp.....

I think they can make it splash resistant with this design..
Well they can cram so much pixel in low end camera module, to attract buyer.. Good camera module is still more expensive.. We can see this scenario in real camera too

Having more pixels dont mean that the camera is more superior though. You will also notice that note 4 had 16MP but along the way the MP keeps getting smaller, yet the photo qualities are better and better.

I assume this may have been answered now before but would like to get you feedback on what’s the best tempered glass for note 9 series. I have use 2 tempered glass previously but both starts to peel off and one of them leaves a glue mark at the edges.
Any reputable tempered glass which you guys can recommend and where can I get it from?

I assume this may have been answered now before but would like to get you feedback on what’s the best tempered glass for note 9 series. I have use 2 tempered glass previously but both starts to pee off and one of them leaves a glue mark at the edges.

I have given up using tempered glass on Note 9. I have used 4 tempered glass and like your experience after a while it started to peel, usually from top or bottom edge. I think the main reason while it peeled was because it doesn't cover right to the edge glass and get rubbed on the pocket materials when putting in and puling it out. The collection of dust and muck around the edges of the Note 9 are not a pleasant to see. Constant cleaning th e sides might be also a cause to the peeling. I am now using hydrogel screen protector which cover the whole glass. After installed on the screen, the hydrogel screen protector is hardly noticeable, if not for the 3 cut out holes.

was about the ask the same question. lol
The only tempered glass that works for curved screen is the UV Glue Tempered Glass, which you can either DIY or get from somebody who will do it for you. I heard that Mobile accessories shops like Ninjaz sells and will do it for you. Prepare for some glue leak for a few days and then after that it will be perfect.

How's screen surface smoothness? Will become oily over time?

TG sp look for full glue or with liquid + uv light Ringke film sp also good but not glass type Usually curve screen hard to take care with long-term use

Finger cross. UV Glue TG also suffer peel off. (2 months usage) Now my one side TG already can notice 5mm air pocket from top to bottom.

I am using T-Max UV glue tempered glass, bought and installed by a forummer called sakurazz. So far so good for me.

All 4 were UV glue curved tempered glasses. All 4 doesnt cover the whole glass leaving about 2mm from the edge. Cant stand the side of the tempered glass collecting dirt which is very obvious to the eyes.
But must say the hydrogel surface is not as smooth compared to glass.

Glass is slightly smoother. Yes if you finger is oily. However it is easy to clean off. Have been putting the phone in the same pockets as car and house keys. So far no scratches on the screen protector.

Was thinking about T-Max for glass number 5 until I came across hydrogel. Not to be disappointed with UV glue glass again, I decided to give hydrogel a go since it is so much cheaper than T-Max.
Looks like I'm happy with the hydrogel and it will stay on my Note 9 until it's scratched or peeled off. No need to clean the edges all the time, that's the best part of it.

Is the hydrogel surface smooth for the stylus use?
Front curved screen easily got scratches without any protection Been holding for that idea until my Note 2 dropped and cracked the screen. Got myself cases for every phone I owned afterwards.
[quote=NightFelix,Apr 13 2019, 10:41 AM] yeah, but does brands or price make a difference? long time no buy/survey tempered glass since long ago.
From what i surveyed and tried those priced between RM7 to RM35, no different in quality. It may be from the same factory sold at different price. There are a few brands selling Note 8 curved tempered glass as Note 9. Some on the box it is stated Note 8/9. If you get the Note 8 glass you will soon discover that gap at the side are too big compared to those selling real Note 9 sized tempered glass. So beware when buying. If you are buying from a shop, place the glass on your phone and decide before asking them to install for you.
I am referring to UV full glue tempered glass here.

I can only buy TG online and diy so dont go for glue or difficult installation. And i don want spend too much on TG so buy cheaper one just to protect it from scratch. The one i using now is baseus brand from china, shopee price around rm25 can get and very easy to install. Not full cover (can see as pic below) because if full cover my case will push it up. need to increase the sensitivity touch after apply. For me is a good tg, fulfill my requirement. First time applied got rainbow so i apply 2nd one, no more rainbow and not many fingerprint left unless your hand very oily.
Not yet. Been thinking hardly to keep or sell. Only time will tell. Meanwhile I'll just enjoy the phone. Bought solidsuit for my n9, now looking for screen protector.
guys need your advice should i go for note 9 or waiting for note 10 this coming August?
Depends on your budget and how old is your current phone la. These days the phones are sharing similar features, even if there's upgrade it's usually very small and minor (only seems major because of the wonderful power of advertisement), and slightly different designs. So in the it's up to you. In terms of functionality, I believe both Note 9 and Note 10 will serve you well and be quite future proof for the next few years.

My phone display is set to WQHQ. However some app eventhough it said supported full screen, it doesn't really show the full screen. One example is Where's My water 2 whereby at some level you cannot see the bottom of the screen which inhibit you from completing that level. Is there a way round for the app to really show its complete screen.

price range between RM2K to RM3K, Note 9 still worth it
Yeah. New Note 9 can get around 2.6k (I bought at this price last month from Shopee) or maybe RM2.5k now. I think it is a good buy for me, since I am used to Samsung interface (from S8+).
Or you can consider buying second hand Note 9, cheaper. I tried but a lot of ** sellers ffk when it was time to COD. Wasted so much time that I gave up and bought a new one instead.
Only thing I wished the Note 9 has, is the Super Wide camera like the S10.

+1 Nowadays ffk a lot Note 10 should have wide cam
Yes. Done b4 . No issues. Once it has dried, it comes off very easily.
Dont think of it as paper glue. Its a diff type of glue
Can I have the link to the one you have bought and removed? And the screen still appears undamaged. Hehe. Mine has a bit of dust at the side, because I cleaned my phone too much and rubbed off the glue. Wanna change.
if not mistaken... only within 30days after date purchase.....
*pls do correct me if i'm wrong.
30 days within date of purchase applies only for the screen protection. Extending the phone warranty itself can be done anytime before the 1 year warranty is over

Anybody is using Rhinoshield Solidsuit or Crushguard? Wanna check if Bixby button got too sensitive/soft which result accidental press during normal holding hand or not. Thinking to claim warranty if the issue weren't normal.

is normal. I just remove the bixby button on my solidsuit... solve the problem
Nope, I haven't even remember there's button below volume rocker before putting solidsuit on. Oh my, I guess I'll just stick with changing the single press bixby button into something else now. Are you really remove the button?
Ya, cut it with knife. Nthg wrong, since i would never use the bixby anyway.

or remain your phone's resell/trade in value with an RM8 software called Bxactions?
make it useful by remapping it as a silent/mute/sound switch and long press for easier camera access instead of tapping 2 times on power button (which can be confusing as fark sometimes. lol)

I think they meant cutting the button off from the cover, not your phone. I see people on YouTube doing that. Once you get rid of the bixby button on your rhinoshield then you might not accidentally click on it.
can set single tap or double tap for bixby in its setting
already done that, changed and now seems to be fine.

Yeah, but to cut off the rhinoshield button just would damage the case. Later might come something handy of use of the button.
Just realised how sensitive the retina scanner is to smudges was feeling like it was getting slower last few days but after cleaning screen it got back to its usual speed. Not the fastest but definitely useful in certain situations

Recently I was having problems with my phone line, whereby I cannot received incoming calls, outgoing is not a problem. And it happens form time to time, checked with telco (digi) found that I turned on volte on phone but telco didn't activate it. So if you guys having problem with incoming calls try getting telco to activate volte first
How about the warranty. Heard that they will unseal for warranty activation. But still SME warranty. Just wondering if want to subscribe for screen protection insurance

Can refer to seller regarding the sealed or unsealed set matter Screen protection plan can buy within 30 days from date of purchase Extended warranty 1 year can buy within 11 months period before 30 days end of warranty n need copy of receipt n they need to check your device Need to go to any of Samsung service centre only not retailers shop
My WhatsApp has been vibrating but there's no sound for message notifications. Any idea why? I check my settings and all, it's not blocked or off in any ways.
Can anyone post a link as to where you all bought your DIY UV glue tempered glass? Must be tested and trial that even if you remove the TG later, the glue doesn't destroy your phone! Thank you!!!

Better look for shop instead DIY cause you don't know what glue content inside. Recently many shop have been return to suppliers due to glue hard to remove it n some still selling it especially online websites Those cheaper items stated DIY n no warranty be claim n take your own risk unless look for 150 above with Dome Glass

Most of those being sold in the shop are the same as those being sold online. Shop selling for > RM30 usually double what your can get online.
Bought 4 online, all crap. Doesn't really cover the whole screen. Dust and dirt collected over time at the edge of the TP glass. The edge of the TP glass will slowly peel off over time. Glue takes too long to dry even though left under the UV lights for hours.
From my experience all 4 can still be easily removed by slowly peeling the TP glass out. Glue stucked onto the TP glass and not the screen. If the UV glue stucked on the screen, use a hair dryer to heat up the glue and it can be removed easily.
Yes, better get from the shop as you can see how it looks like on the screen before committing. Some Note 9 TP glass are marginally smaller than the others.

+1 Clear explanation I have been try all type of sp till last still prefer film sp can be easily touch sensitive but not protect drop All depends on personal preference
If yes to all the above. U, my friend, got a maxis zerolution set. Owner did not pay his bills, maxis lock the phone.
Did not buy 2nd hand. Bought from a Mobile shop in Digital Mall at RM3,299.00 Called the dealer and told him that there is a triangle shape with MM at the top of my phone. Very unethical to sell such phone to me.

Not the second time hear this. If the shop were selling the telco set, they are really unethical.
I've been using my phone for six months, suddenly my phone couldn't be switch on two days ago, yesterday sent it to lowyat for repairing. I asked them to check the battery also due to fast draining issue. They have changed the motherboard and said the battery drain issue is due to motherboard problem. Collected my phone after roughly an hour of repairing. So far my phone has way better battery life compared to before and it doesn't heat up easily like previously.
Can give some feedback to us on Sunway service centre?
dont get intimidated by them their face look sedih as fuck everytime you complain about a stuff their face like malas nak layan you. their answers are like super stupid.
Almost certain that the mobile shop sold me a Note 9 Telco set as brand new set. Dealer said need to check with his supplier. Beware of this shop in Digital Mall in Section 14, Petaling Jaya. This shop is very unethical. Blocked by unknown Telco so cannot use Sim 1 cos not allowed, so now force to use my sim card in Sim 2 slot.

you can check with telco about it then report to Tribunal on this unethical business.
