QUOTE(lvoonjian8888 @ Mar 30 2019, 01:06 PM) Did you buy your Note 9 during pre-order as most of the 1st batch Note 9 encountered this issue? Just head to any service center and they will change the camera module for you on the spot which you just need to wait for 1-2 hours. 😊 Yes. Pre-order set. Just walked in for warranty claim yesterday, fixed in 1 hour+. Now the auto focus is blazing fast. Saw the part price list, note 9 camera module RM450, motherboard RM1300, display RM750, back glass RM250, battery RM160, all exclude labour. |

QUOTE(ramen241 @ Aug 22 2020, 09:16 AM) 1) i joined a telegram group that talks aboutj note 9 green tint issuss. Thanks for sharing your valuable experience, will try my luck at the samsung sc next week.2) there are quite of note 9 users having this issue. At some countries, samsung is giving screen replacement for foc. For malaysia, samsung acknowledges the issue and giving foc screen replacement. 3) i took a video recording of my note 9 when the issue occur. 4) when i went to the sc, i told them about the issue, thats this started to happen after the march or April update, showed the video recording, told him about the telegram group with all the note 9 users with same issue, and the samsung rep knew of the issue and immediately told me im entitled for foc screen replacement one time, only if the phone screen condition is good, if there is no water damage...they will diagnose the phone before getting the foc claim. 5) phone will be formatted 6) they got the job done in the same day...went sc 11.30, phone ready by 6pm. QUOTE(skylinelover @ Aug 21 2020, 12:27 PM) Haha the phobia is real Don't be too confident, I was like you thinking that I can laugh with my note9 all the way until the end, mine was also the 1st batch pre-order set and I never play game. There's neither any sign nor smell of when the green tint gonna happen. Now I got phobia surfing lowyat forum from my phone, it was the last thing I did when the green tint happened for the first time.My 1st batch still kicking Looks like i wont be joining the club My unit still not dying after 6 straight updates After 2 days of troubleshooting, here are my finding: 1) OLED Saver app does help to remove green tint, but it's just a temporary tweak to make the screen readable and usable, but no quality screen at all. 2) The AOD method doesn't seem to work (before factory reset), the only way to get rid of the green tint is to restart the phone into safe mode. Green tint will then magically disappear in safe mode. 3) The phone becomes very very very hot at the edge near the bixby/volume buttons after restart or cold boot. 4) After factory reset, green tint only happens once in a while, and it can be removed by locking and unlocking the phone with AOD turned on. 5) Green tint will random occur despite the CPU temperature is as cold as 40degC or as hot as 70degC. I can finish running AnTuTu benchmark without green tint issue, but green tint can simply occur after I open an app like gmail or whatsapp. |

QUOTE(Randomboi @ Aug 22 2020, 08:05 PM) Anyone have updated to the july/august update? Any noticable changes to the phone i.e. overheating or poor battery endurance? Scared to update since a lot of people are not upgrading to note 20. maybe samsung will do something to make our phone not last as long. Paranoid ady >_< You better hold it, else there's no way to roll back the firmware version without rooting the kernel. The last update (N960FXXU6ETG3) was seemed too good to be true, the size was only about 100MB+ but packed with a few new features like AR Emoji and etc, normally the security patch itself already 100MB+. Some more, Samsung released 2 updates (N960FXXS6ETG1 and N960FXXU6ETG3) in less than 1 week, something very very not right. I am now a victim of the green tint after the latest update, believe it.This post has been edited by yong_ys: Aug 22 2020, 08:30 PM |
