Battery life on Feb 2019 patch.
This is my wife usage.
95% on WiFi.
When this phone was my main phone, the most i got at 4-5 hours (30-40% WiFi, balance on mobile data).

Just wondering if everyone uses the default animation speed here? I always wonder how people do it. I always adjust it at the developer option.
*
I always reduce it to 0.5 sweat.gif sometimes 0 but 0 then no animation to mask some stutters

I think the march update made the battery worse compared to the February patch.

Try wipe cache and then see if it improves. If not then can go to sc blast them and claim battery replacement biggrin.gif if lucky might get mobo replacement too

Hi everyone,  i have some question..

is it too late to buy note 9 right now since note 10 is just like few months away?
I saw the 6/128gb version only RM2515 at shopee quite tempting, will you guys recommend other people to get this phone after using note 9 for so many months?

So far are there any major issue with this phone?

Browsing through the thread, saw people complaining note 9 battery draining fast after latest update, is it true and so its best to not update the firmware if i bought note 9?

About wireless charging, does it work with any other brand wireless charger? Will the battery degrade faster with wireless charging compared to charging with cable?

How about the phone GPS? im using average 2-3 hours of waze / google map daily, does the battery drain fast?

Thanks and appreciate if anyone willing to answer my question  laugh.gif

Performance wise no issues for me. Battery life is around 5 to 6 hours sot before i have to charge. Only major issue is the camera buzz issue which is covered under warranty. Apparently it affects first batch of note 9. For me GPS use still ok but then i never really bother much about battery drain so far cause I just charge it when its low. Never really notice any battery drain.

Would I still get it now? Well at that 2.5k price probably this is the best value you can get. Other options would be the base p30 or an s10e (smaller phone+battery). If you don't have an urgent need to upgrade I'd say yeah just save your money and wait for the note 10. Of course getting note 10 at launch is going to cost more too.

Been using note 9 since August last year... and battery health is 92% which is 3671 mAh..
Is it normal?
*
Ok lah still above 90%. These kind of battery will degrade over time. If you feel like your battery life getting worse and at an unacceptable level for your daily use eg have to bring powerbank everywhere, constant charge. Then best is to go SC make some noise claim free battery change before warranty over biggrin.gif

Broke my spen yesterday.

Today went to lowyat to change it, they informed  my warranty ended ONE day before.

Woe is me.

Anyway, anyone tried the ciplak spen? Without bluetooth  one? I see some people selling it for less than rm20.

Or is there any place having sale on the ori spen?

Thanks.
*
How can your warranty ended already? Didn't this phone release in Aug last year sweat.gif or is it spen comes under accessories and only 6 months warranty?

Just realised how sensitive the retina scanner is to smudges sweat.gif was feeling like it was getting slower last few days but after cleaning screen it got back to its usual speed. Not the fastest but definitely useful in certain situations

How's the phone so far for those have been using from the start? Any issue that I should be aware of? biggrin.gif
Not really gaming user, mostly social media, photos, netflix and chill xD

Try your camera zoom. Test when switch to 2x does it vibrate for long period, like unable to focus. If got then can head over to sc and claim biggrin.gif

When i zoom in my camera more x2.0 that's a small vibration. Should i be worried? After that when I zoom in and out, the vibration is no longer there until i start the camera again after a while.

This issue quite common sadly. Anyways can just head to service center and request them to change. Having this problem too but still can't find the time to go and have it changed sweat.gif have to backup etc too cause they will wipe your phone.

what is mst?

Magnetic secure transmission, basically so that you can tap and pay with your watch or smartphone even on older terminals. Not necessarily need the newer ones which support nfc.

Same biggrin.gif skip note 10/s10 generation.
Hopefully s11 will be a more impressive phone. But sad that they're still using punch hole for s11. Was expecting full infinity with under display front camera for s11

Previously I was thinking to change when Note 20 releases but now I am reconsidering to just save up and still use this quite future proof Note 9 until further further notice. Lol!

Tbh note 9 still going strong for me too biggrin.gif the only reason to change now would be hand itchy. Looking forward to see if s20 pre order offering enticing enough or not biggrin.gif

Disappointing😄😆

Should have taken s20+ instead ai yai yai🙈🙈

RM900 maybe😔😔
*
I got the ultra tongue.gif
Was not expecting a huge difference in performance etc but so far surprisingly much snappier than the note 9.
Now only have to see battery performance how.
Tbh note 9 had a great battery performance even though its on exynos.
