MMF most unlikely to lose capital. Its unheard off. If u scared lose capital even in MMF, better just stick to saving account tht got PIDM gurantee

Then I think the only investment that is suitable for you is probably FD.

Like what white lighter explained earlier also. it is quite unheard off a MMF would lose capital. ppl already explained it to you.

If that really happens, you will see your Simple portfolio go down below your capital (or cost level), of course everybody knows this.

the question is of course, what do you want to do next?
a. Stick with it, to gain or to lose further with it (since it happened right).
b. or to withdraw it and place it it a PIDM guarantee account.

In MMF, it's either get less or get nothing. But the chances of u to lose everything is not zero. No one can guarantee u anything in this industry. It all works based on probability of likelihood to happen. Understand this concept n stop asking again and it will help to not trigger other ppl that is sick n tired of answering this same question.

StashAway simple is a cash management fund. You do get returns but there is no capital protection. In my own history of investing in money market fund, it has not lost capital yet. It’s been decades. But the returns are not guaranteed.

It’s purpose is not so much for capital appreciation but just as a temporary deposit for investing in other things. Or to cash out from selling your other securities.

In investment, sometimes not making a return is a loss in itself, so you need to understand principles of risk vs reward and opportunity cost. The answer to your question is you gotta be more informed before buying something.

You can either get nothing, or lose capital

Yes that CAN happen in any non PIDM investments, they are all risky

The only "guaranteed" "investment" (if you even count that as investments) is fixed deposit, up to 250k PIDM coverage.

I'm sure if you browsed earlier posts/maybe first page/SAMY pages/FAQ/ask their WhatsApp etc you could have found those information instead of provoking people "are you triggered"
