If I do 1 time deposit, will it straight go into investment, or I can invest every days or weeks?

My question is, since there is no dividend or interest given every year, so there is no compound interest?
So it depends on the performance of the etfs when we are ready to cash out. It purely bet on the future market. |

QUOTE(honsiong @ Jul 25 2019, 11:50 PM) Make sure ur portfolio risk is low enough to have treasuries, deposit at least RM500-1000 to have at least USD0.01 dividends, treasuries ETFs usually ex on 1st business day of every calendar month, when they ex you should see the dividends are pending to be paid to you already. I have risk index at 19%. |

Guys, the return percentage looks wrong.
Example Net Deposit is RM3081.00, Current Value is RM3160.29, Total Return is 79.29, but why Money-weighted return is 4.67%? It should be just less then FD 3%. |

Talking about compound interest. Stashaway dividend minus management fees is so small, it is nothing.

QUOTE(Krv23490 @ Dec 31 2019, 11:44 AM) Not bad at all, my 6.5% portfolio MWR is 3.53% , TWR is 5.5% , created the portfolio in April 2019. How to use Boost to get free management fees? The 36% portfolio sitting pretty with 27.3% and 20% since Nov 18. Happy with it so far and only paid management fees for 2-3 months. Now free again for 6 months from Boost. Question, does the return include dividends received? |

18% is better then 36% risk, because of gold. anyway this is not going to be forever, this is just temporary.

QUOTE(B500 @ Feb 22 2020, 07:39 PM) There's alot of debate about whether gold should be considered a proper asset class or not. Some say that gold is just a safe haven to maintain the value of your cash and has no intrinsic income generating value in and of itself, as opposed to a proper company that is growing and has long term prospects of increasing exponentially in value.. Certainly, gold is an asset compare to share. |

QUOTE(B500 @ Feb 22 2020, 09:15 PM) What I meant was, there are arguments saying that gold has no intrinsic value. People merely buy it and drive the value up due to speculative reasons / hedging. But gold has no real income generating value, in and of itself. That's the gist of the argument. Haha. Actually it kinda makes sense also. The long term price of gold is actually more cyclical than upwards. last time money = gold, so you see powerful country has high gold reserve, but now is consider safe haven to park you money, but many has consider it as asset, because it is consider real money instead of paper. |
