I know i am not a expert in this robo advisor thing...some how i don't feel comfortable of losing that much of money only in KWEB..and i thought robo advisor is 'smart enough' to perform a buy/sell when the market is good/bad? I have doubt why SA didn't sell some of the KWEB when reaching USD90 that time? At least not losing that much. (I am not sure the SA selling KWEB for some of you guys, but mine never sell..keep holding until now)
Just my thoughts. |

The portfolios are constructed manually. |

(I am not sure the SA selling KWEB for some of you guys, but mine never sell..keep holding until now) welp that's where you thought wrong then... honestly I doubt there's any clairvoyant system like that in the world, if there is then it would be owning the market and everybody wins (which is a paradox in itself, cuz there are always losers on the other end of your winnings).Just my thoughts. If you don't want to realise your loss then hodl for now and ride the shaky boat with us. But if you really want to just cut your loss and play safe, then lower your SRI where KWEB has less/no weightage, then that's where robo advisor will do its job, to calculate how much buy/sell to adjust your portfolio |

QUOTE(stormseeker92 @ Jul 28 2021, 10:59 PM) Don’t be so happy because the buying price is above 50 because SA will buy start within the 1st hour of trading hence you will pick up about 1% gain if you lucky on today’s holdings Current pickup price anything 55 or below is a bargain provided no more crackdown for Tech because the policy is done Next pickup would be China REITs within the next month |

This "black swan" even aren't include in SA dataJust my thoughts. Mine does not sell as well even tho kweb was over its supposedly allocation was over. My understanding is that diversification in portfolio, whenever holding in the portfolio exceed allocation, will sell the exceed and buy the under allocated. Perhaps SA are anticipating that user will continue to top up and hence disregard the exceeded allocation holdings |

QUOTE(Koranshita @ Jul 29 2021, 11:12 AM) cant answer on behalf of you as I dunno your risk tolerance.always remember low risk lower return high risk higher return if you want sifu here to guide your further maybe you could tell factors like how old are u what's ur investment horizon (how long you plan to invest) what is the max downfall you can accept (if your invested money drop 20% you can sleep tight?) |

QUOTE(MUM @ Jul 29 2021, 12:46 PM) There is an image in Post 14600, page 730 Ya understand this low risk low return. It shows ytd returns (in USD) till end May. It did shows low Sri value can also be subjected to losses too. So just don't expect to hv no losses when investing I have high risk investment in klse so I wanna treat stashaway something like asnb but a little bit riskier. My strategy is KLSE stock purchase when I have extra money like bonus. Monthly saving allocate into saving and asnb. If I can't get asnb for my target I will put into stashaway. So the 10% is there is 10% return OR 10%losses correct? This post has been edited by Koranshita: Jul 29 2021, 01:03 PM |

QUOTE(Koranshita @ Jul 29 2021, 12:55 PM) Ya understand this low risk low return. No, the Stashaway risk index does equal to 10% returns or 10% losses...I have high risk investment in klse so I wanna treat stashaway something like asnb but a little bit riskier. So the 10% is there is 10% return OR 10%losses correct? I think in SA faq has definition n calculation examples of possible chances of losses and its loss value on its defined risk index... Now on hp, not easy to link it to you |
