Hi guys newbie here. Let say I have deposited one time in stashaway and then plan to dca weekly. Can I proceed using previous JOMpay code and reference number 1 without going into the stashaway website. i confused cuz when 1st deposited stashaway asked for planned value, I wonder if the ref number 1 will change with amount.

Just setting the portion that u wish to invest in each portfolio in ur account. Deposit it anytime u like, wan daily oso can, but remember put ur reference code, bcoz this code link with ur acc for them to track. Example : I use 50% : 50% for my portfolio. No matter what amount I invest, it will divide in 2, anytime I free I oso can manually deposit it.

It's basically your identifying number in SAMY to know that the amount received is intended for you. No matter if you make new portfolio, delete portfolio etc, your Ref-1 will remain fixed. I've never had to change Ref-1 since I first made account, just saved in favorites in my banking account for Jompay. What you need to instruct in SAMY is how much money you're planning to deposit, and if multiple portfolio how much from that deposit amount you want to allocate to each portfolio. It depends on whether the buy order has executed if it’s reallocate the same day yes the deposits will still be in USD in Cash allocation If you want diversify open multiple portfolio is the only way upon deposit reallocate the amount but in long term you will be better off with single portfolio returns in compounded gains rather split gains compound

Solution - On day trade it make sense why negative. 😣 Because when DCA when KWEB is dropping from its high as most of your buy price on KWEB are in the range of 86 to 98 Hence if you are looking your average holdings should 86+ which is why it is showing -17% because as long as KWEB trading at fundamental price your holdings will still be around 12 to 14% in red

QUOTE(nightzstar @ Jun 6 2021, 04:59 PM) hi guys, wanna ask it is good time to enter stashaway right now? thanks If you are planning to DCA on a balanced portfolio, anytime is a good time. However, if you want to "all in" lump sum on 36% portfolio, now is probably not the best time. The S&P500 is at it's tipping point and it's already showing all kinds of sell signals in terms of technical analysis. I'm expecting a 10% to 15% drop in the coming months. DCA strategy, any time is good time. Key point is that you hold for long term. However note that for StashAway because of their diversified strategy, you cannot target ETFs in specific region as much as you'd want, even the highest allocation for US region which is 30% SRI for USD-based portfolios is only a little over half of the whole portfolio's weightage. And of that, it's a mix of bonds and equities, so if you want full equities it's not going to happen in SA. You can just make an account without deposting anything yet and then check out the specific ETFs for each SRI, and do your due diligence on the ETFs of each portfolio This post has been edited by DragonReine: Jun 6 2021, 06:27 PM
