If you wish, you may update to the latest version. Do note that there is risk of reflashing BIOS/EC.
Can we test your system physically?

Yeah that's the problem. I have several serious problems with the laptop already and really want to bring it in, but this is my main/daily driver. I can't go a day without it.

Unless of course you have an loaner unit that I can work with while you fix my laptop.

Few months ago my selenite's keyboard started cannot use, and battery seems to give issue until my windows corrupt. Send in for warranty service, and they said they have changed my Keyboard + Battery.

2 months later, i notice the underside of laptop start to kembang. I open inside and see the battery already kembang like going to explode anytime. Illegear technician asked me to remove the battery, as I couldnt send in my laptop due to in the middle of important work. So I use it without battery.. until today.. The keyboard starts to give way again. No lighting no input.

Both items that claim to have replaced , but now having similar issues again.. I am really starting to doubt the quality of the servicing. Maybe I look too highly on the brand .. sad.gif I still recommended a lot of ppl to buy this, but my laptop only entering 2nd year, and already meet with such issues.. aiks..

What is the rated battery capacity of your selenite? Also, is it 8th gen or 9th gen?

Hi clivengu,

According to your service report copy, keyboard and battery were not changed in last service.

We were given limited amount of time for this particular RMA because customer urgently needs the laptop ASAP for work and we also could not have the keyboard / battery replacement ready within 4 days time.

user posted image

To resolve your problem completely, can we arrange a reverse pickup / onsite service with you to replace the keyboard and battery?

THAT IS NOT WHAT I WAS TOLD! I can confirm I was told both the battery and the keyboard are replaced! Either you guys never communicate properly with the front counter system, or it is just a sloppy way of handling the customer quickly. Maybe the lady who attended to me isn't IT-literate enough and see the remark in system "keyboard and battery has been fixed" and she somehow translate that into "replaced". Definitely some communication problem here.

Yes I need it asap because it is indeed my primary machine for work. If the parts indeed need replacement and has been identified FAULTY , then you should have informed me about needing extra time to REALLY replace them. I never give you a "Deadline of 4 days" to begin with. I just appreciate if it can be done sooner.

Anyway I will be sending my laptop in again tomorrow, and I hope this round you guys can solve it properly. Because I see it has the exact early symptom as last time, which I will explain in more detail tomorrow. Thanks

Hi Clivengu, for the miscommunication i will check with the front-end staff tomorrow if they have conveyed the message clearly, sorry about that. Did you receive a copy of the report as above upon collection? A copy of report as above should be given to you.

The support manager said you expressed your urgency a few times for getting the laptop back because it's your primary laptop and you could not leave it here for long. After changing the keyboard cable and reformat your corrupted windows all the problems were gone in a two-day stress test, that's why we think we should pass back the laptop to you because of your urgency.

Kindly send me your RMA number here once you have sent your laptop in. Lastly, I would like to request a 5 to 10 days turnaround time for this particular RMA because of the repetitive issues so we can have more time to source the parts and test your laptop before delivering back to you.

XMG and Eluktronics command centers work perfectly fine on the Selenite though there is no fan control unlike what i saw on the Ownordisown video on the same chassis (Mech G1R)

Power limits and everything else are mostly the same as Illegear's but XMG's has this little tid bit under their turbo mode. It is also version 2.0.3.1

No the latest command center doesn't disable the LED. What happened to your front LED?

My selenite that I used less than 2 years I had sent it for warranty 3 times. 2 times it's the display panel keeps falling out & land on the keyboard. And now the latest one is motherboard problem which I have to wait for 1 to 2 months now.

I used to recommend other people illegear brand previously but I just can't do it anymore. 3 warranties in less than 2 years is just not reasonable. Are there other people that face this amount of warranty or it's just me with a lemon product? sad.gif

Hi King910M,

Sorry of hearing that. Can you pm me your RMA number? I will check if there is any alternative ways to shorten the RMA turnaround time.

hi...i have selenite pro i7-9750 with rtx2060.

i want to upgrade my SSD to 1TB as my current 500gb is not enough (blame COD). so, i plan to buy upgrade ssd from illigear 1TB as my main and my current 500gb as my 2nd hd.
just wanna ask few things.

1) if i upgrade SSD from Illigear, how long will it takes for illigear to install new SSD along with clean windows install if i bring my laptop to center?? will it take days or can it be done onsite settle that day it self??

2) If illigear unable to do it on the same day (maybe gonna take weeks), can i buy my own SSD and install it myself? will this void the warranty? - i really need the laptop as it is my daily work machine.

3) i prefer illigear to do clean install everything (bios/windows/drivers), just like getting new laptop...however, if i choose to upgrade the ssd myself (refer quest 2)...will illigear support help me with bios/windows installation?? ---bcoz, i really noobshit about laptop.

thanks...

I suggest you buy your own. But if you really want to buy from them, make sure you choose the branded ones (e.g. from Samsung) not the generic no-brand ones because they're problematic.

I don't think replacing the storage or RAM will void the warranty. Also it's super easy to replace as well.

FYI in case you don't know, you don't need to clean install your OS and everything if you want to upgrade. You can just clone from your existing drive to the new one.
