Haha just few days ago you said Astra still healthy and lasting, so fast KO..

Anyway, I also just replaced my Astra DIN55 battery, I think 2 years 8 months, still can crank start, but workshop test found the CCA dropped to 330 something, SOH only 35% like that while SOC remains 100%. Went battery shop test again showing similar CCA so decided to replace it.

So far, something improves after battery replacement. My car since bought used last year, after cold start doing reverse, the engine still vibrate like misfiring. Drive forward also will have but not so obvious, after change battery I observed for 1 week, no such symptom happened! Weird I also cannot explain...

Nowdays hard to tell, last week everything seems fine then last sunday when driving battery indicator blinks, then go to the workshop done a alternator replacement, then back to normal, yesterday went to hulu langat for breakfast my car cannot start, call bateriku, they said my bateri k.o, so replaced with astra battery

Now battery new, alternator also new, money fly like no tomorrow

i found battery price in shopee are much cheaper than battery apps

How long is the warranty for that "new alternator" ? 1 month or 3 months ?

Btw the emd makmur sdn bhd, google it, it seems a factory for industrial equipment supply, did they sell car battery? It's a factory not a shop or a workshop

Back to the 3 month warranty new alternator, which is really just a reconditioned alternator, hopefully it's working properly otherwise you will be thinking why batteries don't lasts. Sorry to break this to you, just like when new customers look me up but so far I have not come across any reconditioned alternators that can perform like the original stock alternators that comes in a new car.

It's okey, basically i knew it's recond alternator as the label on the alternator got some 3rd party company label on it, rm300 plus only.. If toyota original got toyota label on it, owh well got no choice that day on sunday, that's the only workshop open.. 😌

After 1.5 month, I tried to check and charge my old battery yesterday.

Reading was 220CCA, SOH at 22% now. Seems like I can't extend the life much after this. Was so hoping to hit full 5 years

u use which charger brand on this case?

Last Sunday, my old Viva with only a 1-year-old battery was flat at the shoplot. Ask Setel apps to come jumper for RM50, so proceed to go home. The jumper guys told battery looks ok in terms of voltage, but CCA dropped to 1%. He also weird cz only 1 year old and Alternator shown ok. His idea maybe due to weird unknown brand of battery.

so at home put it to Foxsur charger for repair, done it for 20 hours, as many videos on YouTube. Turn out battery remained Dead. Proceed to a brand new battery from Shopee, much cheaper than Bateriku.com

Have you been regularly charging this unknown brand battery with Foxsur in the past ? Usually, thru regular charging the drop in CCA will be delayed and hence extend the life of battery.

Since the batter is dead and you have it with you, why not try out some snake oil/water or holy water from Shopee, which claimed to be able to revive dead battery and try if any of those work ?

nope, the car was at kampung and never take care one. I saw a few videos on YouTube, by repair mode for 24 hours can restore his car's CCA rating, hence I try. In my case, maybe with an unknown brand battery, plus the car is regularly parked under the sun, making all the battery water inside the MF battery dry already.

Will bring this old battery and old cooking oil to Pusat Kitar Semula Komuniti Putrajaya to get a few Ringgit, perhaps

Regular park the car also not good for the car and battery, previously my triton also like that, no choice but need to change the battery, now already sold the triton, less use what's the point keeping it

It isn't launched today definately but sometime back already. I had seen it's advertisement before.

What I am sure of is, this won't be the last new battery brand launched either. The most peculiar thing about this market is that, generally customers are willing to try every new brand that is introduced. So thats the primary reason for new battery brands launched. Actually there are many more brands launched, just that they dont advertise at all since they don't have to build any goodwill at all.

If true, its the best battery I ever had. Inb4 4 years with Panasonic MF battery without put any charger etc
