Well. Spoke too soon. Battery died just now. 26 months. Ramcar (original from new car till now).

Any good recommendation?

Persona vvt. Ns60r

From bateriku, options are
1. Century  marathoner
2. Amaron go
3. Varta black

I take camel battery brand cz if price + 18 months warranty factor. Rest are 12 months and some need pricier battery to get 24 months warranty

not every camel got 18 mth warranty...... I think only the Premium and above range got 18 mth or more warranty period.

Hitachi MFX55D23L.
Change on 5 Nov 2016. Today just died.
Proton Preve daily drive around 50km.
Installed front DVR camera.

Pretty good result i think.
Previous factory fitted battery lasted 5 years.

Tomorrow will change Amaron Go.

Unfortunately my viva with Hitachi brand died within warranty. But the worse part it died when on outstation, so need to buy another battery, claim another with Hitachi brand under warranty

All my 3 cars now on Amaron, 2 Go and 1 Hi Life, all just a few months old. Both Go had weaken once during MCO despite been driven at least once every 3 days, so yeah, disappointing and overrated just like any other normal battery. Probably won't buy Amaron anymore too.

Suggest u Panasonic mf battery brand. Last me about 4 years, change bcz one shop (during brake pad service) said the level is turning low.

Changed the battery in honda sc last time on accord

I doubt that would work for him too.

My existing Panasonic is coming to 40 months by this month end and today morning already keluar pattern. Despite all the TLC showered on my 1st Panasonic battery, I expected it to last at least 48 months like my previous Century battery but I will still be keeping my fingers crossed.

Currently on Camel MF battery cz of cheap price (rm180) for accord and 18 months warranty factor. Just passed 10th month duration atm so far so good

I think someone is going to be very happy, cause his batteries are always dying early. So if Amaron battery dies within 18 months, the next battery is replaced F.O.C. and if that replaced battery dies within the next 18 months period, it is replaced for free too, etc etc. Sounds like it is a free for life.

How is the amaron battery price? Quite reluctant to spend premium for a car battery

When I changed my battery the shop guy was surprised I got 4 years out of it.

He said it depends on the number of starts you make. Less starts lasts longer. Is that true? I always thought my high revs low gear driving style had something to do with it.

My weekdays starts would be 2 a day. Weekends around 8 a day.

False. The best is to keep parking your car under sunshade or covered area. The hot sun is killing the battery life

factors are

- heat
- driving style (short distance = bad, long distance good)
- number of electronics installed ( slowly drain battery )
- frequency of usage, many days never use electronics drain the battery. Voltage low then lead Surface form crystals. Once that forms can't charge and capacity reduced

Was working in a yard last time and park under hot sun daily. Battery will k.o within a year or 2-3 month after warranty expires. Now working in office, parking in covered daily. Was able to use the battery for 2 years b4 giving low battery sign on a perodua car. Another one on Accord which installed Panasonic battery in SC, almost 4 years with that, covered parking daily applied

As long the battery has sufficient juice to crank the engine, it will continue to be able to do so until there isn't enough juice to do so. The same thing happened to a battery in an Innova. I assumed that it would have been dead since it had not been started during the MCO, so I was called in to do inspection and I had a shock that the battery managed to crank the engine. I dont recommend this anyway of not starting the vehicle for 3 months or even a week as it affects the capacity.

if it me, i just dont have any problem if it gone/ battery went dead. the battery apps are totally convenient to call out and replace battery at site and price wise similar to battery shop price. last time when back from abroad outstation, reached home at 11pm. check my car cant start, so pickup the battery apps.
supprisingly they came to my house at 12am, replace the dead battery at my home on the go. no extra charges required eventhough already midnight

I think that the battery should last for a long while because I really do admire Honda's power management system.

i hope so. my longest record is on Panasonic MF battery, replaced at honda SC last time. 4 years plus. replace it cz one shop said power level became low.

Waiting for the battery to die, doesn't that ruin your Honda's electrical systems ?
*
nope. just dont keep trying to start the car when the battery is dead. replace it then it works as normal. usually the 1st time (if too long battery when dead) it will lose out the gps location, it will need 3-5 minutes to relocate back the gps after getting the power from the new battery.

the rest same like normal car, ie lose out save fm station

just purchased (still shipping) the Bosch battery charger C7 as I read many owners only survived for less than 2 years max on Proton x70 battery life. Just had the x70 and hopefully, with once a month charging the battery, it can prolong the battery life.

on my accord, max I can go up to 4 years for Panasonic MF battery. Now still using for 2 years with Camel MF battery.
