that one need GDL license

i think no need la boss....D license can d for private cars, i do receive deliveries of my frozen meat and dimsum from ppl driving cars also during mco
for Van most likely you'll need GDL la and puspakom check, but i think that's for registered vehicles .
i got a fren doing lalamove using Van, but he got his own business doing part time transporting big items, GDL and puspakom memang ada d

What type of license(s) do I need to have to be a Lalamove delivery partner?
For motorcycles, cars and 4x4, the minimum requirement is the P driving license. For vans and lorries, you need to have a GDL license on top of your driving license. We won’t accept drivers with an L license or an expired license.

My car was registered with JPJ on 19th November 2019, but last year road tax renewal just ended last month on 11th July 2022 I think due to eVP.

Current eVP expires date is on 11th July 2023. Shouldn't the 3rd year still with 1 year of road tax?

Dear all the sifu, I'm thinking of becoming a full time Grab driver, should i...
1. Book a new Bezza, and wait for 6 month; in the meantime, use my 8 y.o. car to sign up and drive first. 6 month later only changed the vehicle details to Bezza.
2. Straight away buy a used Axia (made 2021), sign up & drive.
Thanks for all your input and opinions.

if im not mistaken the 8 y.o would need to first passed puspakom, and then to change to a new car, that 8 y.o. need to passed puspakom again

the 2021 car wouldnt need to go to puspakom until 2024

My suggestion is use your 8 yo car for grab until it reaches the 10 year max time limits. U will have 2 years to think about whether grab is suitable for you in the long run….if so , then only proceed to book the bezza after 2 years.

If u not longer keen to do grab after 2 years, then you would have save the money to invest in the new bezza.

….also, if not wrong, alza is qualify for 6 seater…fare is better than normal sedan.

posted in main thread but i will post here again specific for grab drivers

start next week 16th, introduce new fare structure + cut incentives
Old vs New

Changes: increased fare per minute from old, but greatly reduced fare per km
user posted image

So called "Fairer compensation for peak hours"

QUOTE
Driver-partners have complained that when traffic is bad, fares often do not compensate them sufficiently for time spent in a jam. We hear you, and we will be revising the fare structure so that fares are based more on the time taken to complete the ride and less on the distance of the ride.

Average fares will remain the same. For most trips, you will see the exact same fare as before or just a minor increase or decrease.

Please note that we need to balance the higher fare per minute with a lower fare per km as maintaining the existing fare per km will result in a significant increase in fare levels, causing a drop in demand from passengers.

Notes:

Fares are calculated upfront based on system estimated distance and system estimated trip time.
KLIA fares are not affected by this change.

The bolded part is what people angry about. In theory, the new structure might sound practical. But in practice lain cerita...
Cause grab system estimation is totally shit.

Example of Grab's shit history-based estimation vs Waze's real time estimation.

Grab: 6 mins, 850 meter
Waze: 20mins, 910 meter
user posted image

Grab: 5 min, 2.1km
Waze: 10 min, 2.5km
user posted image

Besides fare structure changes, now no more guaranteed incentives for certain time and become cashback basis incentive instead, with much reduced time slots.

And to qualify for the cashback need to have VERY LOW cancellation rate, if your cancellation rate exceed 5% = not qualified for cashback = no incentives.
(do 15+ job can only cancel 1 time basically. if cancel 2 jobs will exceed the 5% and you need to do like continuous 10+ jobs to go back below 5%)

Previous for Mon-Fri:
morning peak 6am-9am got incentives + cashback bonus
evening peak 5pm-8pm got incentives + cashback bonus

New for Mon-Fri:
morning peak 6am-9am no more incentives + 6-7am for cashback bonus
evening peak 5pm-8pm no more incentives + 5pm-8pm cashback bonus

Are there still any Grabcar plus driver active in this forum? How's the earning nowadays for Grabcar plus? Is it sustainable to the car maintenance coated by wear and tear, service + installment? Lol

Hi. I'm a new Grab driver and just getting started. I haven't been able to receive any bookings because I'm not able to buy daily insurance. When I contacted support, they told me to clear cache/ data and reinstall the app again. But the problem still exists. Has anyone else encountered this problem before? How to sort this out? Thanks in advance.
