yeah, blindly paying without using it  :bangwall:

still contemplating to move to Time Fiber. rm99 for 100mbps = unifi 100mbps without unifitv *scam* subscription
*
Why is this a scam? You saw package being offered for RMx for y speed, you signed up, you're paying RMx for y speed. How the bill is broken down isn't actually relevant.

And TM is better than ISPs in many countries where prices can and are raised when you're still within the minimum contract period.

I actually enjoy watching the Unifi TV ultimate package.
Watching the AO live now. So many shows on fox, FX and HBO red. Wished they had AFC then it'd be a home run. Lol.

PlayTV works on my Android box, but only over Wifi. Doesn't work over Ethernet.

As everyone said, the STB has better video quality that the app will ever be, 9 mbps vs 4 mbps.
*
When talking about Android boxes...There are two differences: ones that are just Android boxes (non-Android TV support); the others that are really Android TV boxes (with Android TV support).

The Unifi STB is just an Android box; not an Android TV box. It will be nice if it is an Android TV box like Nvidia Shield.

I've just registered unifi. I registered rm138 plan 30mbps obsolete plan. Said pending turboboost. After subscribe told me I'm not eligible. Might as well register rm129 100mbps. And then now why my bill rm199.65???? What are these scams
*
Same here. Subscribed to rm139 on the 10th Jan. Agent said can turbo to 300mbps but in the end not eligible. Have called Unifi and changed to 100mbps package. Waiting for the change now.

On the positive side, at least I got the stb with the rm139 package when subscribing. Probably will get to keep it.

Sorry, wasn't clear on my previous post (kinda noob with network stuffs)
Actually my MI Router 3 is connected via LAN Cable and work as WAP (wireless access point right?)

The speed of WIFI from Mi Router 3 ain't 'too good'

With 5G wifi from Tenda, I get 57Mbps (when I am downstairs)
with Wifi from MI Router 3, I get only 14Mbps (upstairs)

Did some reading and it says Mi Router 3 only good for speed below 100Mbps.. wondering is there is any RM100+- alternatives for mi router that can give me higher speed (don't waste the turbo upgrade mah..lol)

btw, your suggested model are too pricy for me sad.gif
*
Did you check the cable?
suspect something wrong with the cables
any what speed you subscribe anyway.
57 Mbps seemed kinda low.

That's why I treat these agents like dirt. They're only out for what's good for them. So when they come calling and you're not sure what you want, walk away.

RM50 for unlimited data only on weekends?  Now that's just pure cash grab sweat.gif

Data caps on wired connections are never meant to be intended for network management  sweat.gif

Also 512Kbps after the 60GB data usage is not very useful for video and web browsing, considering how massive websites are sweat.gif

60GB is just not enough for basic browsing for single devices, and factor in software updates (especially Windows) and you can see that 60GB data quota doesn't look a lot  icon_idea.gif

Only a Malaysian public listed company can make this kind of country sized idiotic decisions. Want to e a triple play player but don't want to put their money or hardware where it should be. Then when people want to unbundle they say cannot, because they are triple play player. What a ridiculous unfunny joke.

Remember some months ago, they sneakily slips in a clause whereby the price for 100M will raise by RM30 after two months, then only carry out damage control & u-turn, use some white lies to taichi and hypnotize the masses rclxms.gif

Now, the question is, certain channels that are exclusive to stb, where one is still paying for that, are they now selling the stb instead? since they are no longer supplying it for free? How much are they selling for? Is it rm300? they cant be serious about a huawei brick costing rm300 (look at taobao/alibaba, how much are they selling for the oem version, with the right tools, im confident u can make it a hypptv box) no?

Does Astro charge for supplying decoder and satellite dish? don't tell me those equipment are cheaper than huawei brick? u dont say? hmm.gif
