Why keeping thinking on next 2 year, no need to worries, now get he best deal and enjoy. Next 2 year we get the best deal again.

called to CS and product line, all taichi taichi says cannot lower the bill despite current promo is rm129 @ 100mbps.
Should I keep waiting till next year for turbo which TM this noob ISP cannot even guarantee the actual implement time?
Or just downgrade to rm129 @ 100mbps?

Upgraded to 500mbps (instead of 800mbps) after complain to MCMC.

TM CS called said that my account will be upgraded to 800m from my existing 100m(RM189 RYE2017). Now my perpetual  discount only RM100 and they remove my Aneka tv!

They make me can't complain duplicate service of iptv(aneka & ultimate) to reduce RM30.

Anyone facing same problem and manage to get back what you deserve?

I have turbo-ed to 500mbps and i think it is overkill for me. if i want to downgrade to 100 or 300, does the contract renewed?

Hi sifu, newbie here, need help and advice from all the pros.

My unifi has been upgraded to 500mbps and been trying to set my PC to via LAN to connect to the router but speed is not up to expected. Here are device details and hopefully, someone can point out where is actually the problem.

These are the speedstest results that I have been using, interestingly different result is achieved and not so sure which one is accurate.





This is my current setup:
1. PC motherboard - Asus Strix X99
Ethernet speed port has been set to gigabit


2. Cheap 20buck ethernet cat6 cable - not so sure is this the reason of bottleneck the speed or not

3. TP-link Archer C1200

4. Alcatel Lucent I240G

The reason that has been bugging me is that back when I try direct download large files, the top speed I can get is just 10-25mb/s instead of what I expect which is 50mb/s (do educate me if what I'm expecting is actually wrong).
The bash me sifus because I do know very little regarding networking.

guys, i couldn't able to get 500MB on TM Speed Test anymore. At most only reached 350MB. Previously it was okay and consistently on 530MB ++. What could be the reason here?

hi guys, would like to check with you all, about the speed test why there is a huge different between the "Ookla" and "TM speed test", actually which server they perform the speed test for Ookla? Only managed to get near to 100Mbps for Ookla, whereby TM speed test can achieve 500Mbps ++. 

FYI, package is UNIFI 500Mps, tested with wired network. no setting change for both Ookla and TM speed test, all by default.  thank you

My friend told me he was in previous package RM129 30Mbps and get free upgraded to 300Mbps.

well okay. I guess 300Mbps claim on the router's desc is if it is on LAN? btw, I am still unsure whether to get 2.4GHz or 5Ghz. IIRC, 2.4Ghz provides longer distance coverage, dont it? I may need this as I am staying at a landed two-storey terrace, with many obstructions like walls, doors. Current set-up is the router is placed on my master bedroom.

According to TM, the turbo only upgrade your speed and whatever you are paying still remain as it is. I am in the same situation, and TM only give me 2 option which is to continue paying for the STD20, or change to new 100mbps plan and renew contract another 2 year.

Same here. Subscribed to rm139 on the 10th Jan. Agent said can turbo to 300mbps but in the end not eligible. Have called Unifi and changed to 100mbps package. Waiting for the change now.

On the positive side, at least I got the stb with the rm139 package when subscribing. Probably will get to keep it.
