hi just got turbo(300mbps) and TM send to change the router to DLink DIR 845... when they use their phone to speedtest is 200mbps+++.. When they left i try my phone ..50+ mbps max. Maybe My cheap phone realme c1 can't go 200mbps+ . Then try my PC with WIFI USB adapter(Tenda 150mbps W311Ma) the speed max at 20++ mpbs only.was expecting around 50-100++ mbps speed ....anyone can help how to improve the speed? change Wifi USB adapater to dual band will help?

I suggest you read the 1st page, 1st post, green text, and read everything. Read ALL the green text. In the meantime, see below.

First, realme c1 only support bgn. You need 5GHz AC to hit decent speeds. Second, your Tenda router only support bgn also. Again, you need 5GHz AC to hit decent speeds. Third, you got the DIR-842 which is a basic router. You can only hit 300Mbps max, and that is the speed you can get in the most optimum conditions.

Yes, change wifi adapter will help. Make sure to get an adapter that can support 5GHz AC.

thanks..

Guess im getting a new adapter... choosing between DLink DWA 182, Tenda U12, ASUS AC56R(with antenna) or TP-LINK New AC1300 MU-MIMO Archer T4U. Any Idea which one I should get since i'm living in a double storey house .the router is downstair and my pc is upstairs... about 10-12m away tho.

Go for the AC56R or T4U. Either one would be good. Keep in mind that your router is basic so you might not get good 5GHz coverage upstairs which might not enable you to get the full 300Mbps speed, no matter what wireless adapter you choose.
