I have been noted by Unifi that the current Unifi password that I have before the Turbo speed upgrade can no longer be used. That is why I have problem with Unifi PPPoE login authentication stage and the router will be disconnected from the Internet if the login fails. But it won't affect HyppTV STB connection. Until I get the new password, I cannot access the Internet but only HyppTV channels.
We also cannot reset/change the password after the Turbo speed upgrade. In the past, we can change it at will through occ.unifi.my page. Now, the old password can no longer be used. You have to refer to Unifi technical assistance (live chat, etc.) to get your latest Unifi password if you forget or unsure.

QUOTE(SzeMeng76 @ Jan 15 2019, 09:24 PM) You can connect back to your old router (unifi original), and login to setting page. There can find your PPPPoE ID & password (thats how I found it) and for my case, my password remain unchanged even after turbo upgrade o. (is the first password provided in my Unifi Order form back in year 2011) Edit : if you are not changing new router, then think is unifi mistake to change your password, might have to wait for their further action Unifi says once the password has been reset, the old one cannot be used.

QUOTE(imalmighty @ Jan 18 2019, 11:17 AM) Regarding the hypptv thing, this is serious. Highlight the number and names of channels that are stb exclusive, compile into a list, complain why are we still charged for that and not supplied a hypptv box? Or are they coercing us to buy? Especially those ultimate pack customer. TM is forcing Unifi subscribers to view on PlayTV app instead when in fact most people want to watch on TV rather than from an app. The BS is that PlayTV for Android only works on Android phones/tablets but not on the devices that run Android TV like SmartTVs and Android TV-based boxes (like Nvidia Shield). What about those non-Android TVs like LG (WebOS), Samsung (Tizen), etc.? Even, the PlayTV app itself is clunky in UI and performance. This post has been edited by eclectice: Jan 18 2019, 11:54 AM

QUOTE(imalmighty @ Jan 18 2019, 11:51 AM) they think they are gods, they can shove words and ideologies into people's mouths Someone may say use Chromecast to play PlayTV by casting it (if it natively supports it) to Google Cast feature in Android TV. Try setting it with Google Home and you will feel ugh. If the app does not support Chromecast, then you will screencast the app which looks ugly on TV from a phone/tablet (more or less with orientation change). Then, your Wifi becomes unstable and the cast drops the packets and the experience becomes stale. With the STB, you must use the LAN cable from LAN set to the required VLAN setup so it will never face the connection stability issue like WiFI. QUOTE(cybpsych @ Jan 18 2019, 12:07 PM) with the stb removal from their package, anyone successfully gotten tm to cancel the unifitv rm30/mth subscription too? Doesn't sound like Unifi will allow it. Unless it can provide a new different package without any HyppTV subscription. Then, you know the termination notice of the old package. QUOTE(taqu @ Jan 18 2019, 12:05 PM) PlayTV works on my Android box, but only over Wifi. Doesn't work over Ethernet. As everyone said, the STB has better video quality that the app will ever be, 9 mbps vs 4 mbps. When talking about Android boxes...There are two differences: ones that are just Android boxes (non-Android TV support); the others that are really Android TV boxes (with Android TV support). The Unifi STB is just an Android box; not an Android TV box. It will be nice if it is an Android TV box like Nvidia Shield.

QUOTE(JuneResources @ Jan 24 2019, 03:14 PM) You use what android box? Xiaomi box? Yes, TM cut cost.... OR another happen is vendor (stb box) might terminate with TM already.. So TM stop provide STB box.. But the most problem is some playunifi apps unable to watch FOX channels.. Only at original vendor (TM stb box) only can watch... Sigh...A few channels can no longer be played on the PlayTV app... Fx, Fox, Fox Life, Fox Action, Fox Movie, Fox Family, Nat Geo (broadcast rights ends starting 15 Jan 2019)
