I'm seeking advice from telco user in bandar puchong utama, few months back i've subscribed to Maxis WifiGo, it was a painful experience as unable to open the chrome, it always throws me the no internet error, it become worse when more PC connected..

UNIFI is not support in this area

What is the best method to test the signal in specific area ?

Buy a prepaid SIM pack and try with your best smart phone.

Digi CS said they will build a new network mass near my area in June '19 because I've been complaining internet slowness for over year now.

Are they speaking the truth, or they just want me to stop troubling them for a few months before they making new excuses again?

I've the same dilemma, they told the same...but wait a second, do i need to pay for bill continuously with bad service ? so i cancel the service..they asked for penalty, i made a complaint to MCMC and they just called back and say will give discount of 50%, i still thinking whether need to accept that ....caused the service is bad since day1 (3months back), and is not fair to consumer.

All telco suppose to show the performance rating for specific area to consumer before they sign up the package.

It is difficult to provide an accurate performance rating due to many factors like congestion and device used.

Wireless isn't the same as wired connection.

always test with prepaid first before u sub expensive plan. wireless, some area good, some area bad... of coz using modem connection is beter coz of indoor signal are better vs hp or mifi.

anyone else getting slow or seems throttled video streaming like from iflix, youtube?

seems my fren kena on his i150..speed test all over 50Mbps but youtube video buffering on 720p

For sure there is no nationwide capping of video streaming on Digi. I am on Digi Prepaid in Penang and have no problems watching 720p YouTube videos on my phone.

Anyone here using modified b618 modem? Seem like I cannot use cordless fon after mod, is there are special settings for phone/volte calling in/out?

prepaid should behave different from infinite customers..tried myself...hence posting in infinite thread instead of digi main thread.

Modified modem do not have the VOLTE profile.

You're implying prepaid accounts get better service than Infinite plans? If I was paying RM150 a month and got treated like this I'd be hopping mad. I think you're being paranoid.

actually i read about this before too, from many people who were complaining, some of it actually posted in digi forum itself, and i saw one with video before, he has 2 phones, one with digi prepaid, another one with i150 and run speedtest together. i think if you track back you can find it in my post few months back

So Digi thinks its Infinite 150 customers are fools. Just give RM150 every month...

For my case, no difference. Digi prepaid, Digi postpaid and Infinite 150 all having about the same speed. So long all are more than 100Mbps, I'm happy which they are.

If i put the sim card in usb 4g modem and plug it into my laptop, does it count as hot spot? Or direct connection?
