I wonder what is the benefit if I set the Wifi name of 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz with same name?

Or best practice is actually set the separately?

If you have good mesh systems that can handle Bandsteering well (Eg. Asus etc), then you dont have to manually switch between the freq band...
But if you have those poor bandsteering handling devices like Time Huawei devices, then setting bandsteering will result some smart devices like smart tvs, floor sweeping robot, speakers, smart electrical switch etc. not able to connect to Internet.

Thanks for the explain man.

You mentioned before the HG8145X6 bandsteering is not good.
I guess I better keep them separately. dry.gif

Well well, guess what popped up on my shopee recommendations https://shp.ee/cw42qsi

The TPlink X95 deco model AX7800 (lmao what is this marketing). Probably comparable to the XT8 Zenwifi.

Hi, Let say my contract end on 29 June 2023, can I request a termination notice on 29 May 2023 to serve the 30 days notice so that it is terminated after my contract ends?

Generally, for standard Installation not exceeding 100m from splitter to point-of-entry.

This should be the way previously, but lately there are discrepancy in this, resulting termination request can only be triggered after you complete the 24-months contract. Anyway, just write an email to the CS & keep the reply in black & white to prevent any dispute later.

in theory the gigabit network card can reach 1000mbps, in reality it can only get around 940-960mbps.

If you're confident in your tech skills, if not then only choice is to move to 2.5Gbps network card and upgrade your Time provided router to a router that has 2.5G ports.

its acceptable
with gigabit ethernet overhead, you wont see 1000Mbps, at best maybe 980Mbps or so

only way is as linked by the other member, with own ONU/router with 2.5Gbps (or higher) ethernet ports

Is anyone here using the 300mbps or previously subscribed to the 300mbps plan with a RM20 discount given?

What will happen to the discount after the 24-month contract ends? Will it become RM129 or stay at RM120?
