Which part of Penang I'm from? Why do you ask?

Living in Tanjung Bungah, Time Fibre 500mbps.

I’m from Greenlane and have no TIME coverage at all

Landed or high rise?

I might need to relocate to another place which doesn't have TIME broadband, and will I be charged for early termination fee?

Currently I'm using 100mbps plan with a contract till next year June, and now I'm planning to upgrade it to 500mbps. Does it mean I will be tied to a new contract?

Is anyone here using the 300mbps or previously subscribed to the 300mbps plan with a RM20 discount given?

What will happen to the discount after the 24-month contract ends? Will it become RM129 or stay at RM120?

the one with "Because You Rock: Get RM20 Off x 24 Months" ?

I was told it will revert back to original 300mbps price after 24mths (ie rm20 discount canceled after 24 cycles)
*
Yea. Without any discount, I would rather upgrade to 500 mbps.

Does anyone here manage to set up port forwarding with Time Fibre? I tried to do that, but the port was always closed.

Cause TIME Fibre is giving private IP by default now

You may call them to request for public IP
*
A stupid question here. Does private IP mean I will receive the fixed IP everytime I restart the ONT? But for my case, I realized the IP address changes every time I restart?

Nope, private IP ≠ fixed ip
Private, public IP can be different everytime you restart your router/onu
but fixed ip, the ip will remains the same doesnt what you do to your devices

Basically, private IP means you are behind CGNAT
You cant see your devices from outside of the network

Public IP means you are outside of CGNAT
You can see your devices from outside of the network
*
Thank you for the explanation. Does it mean the only way for me to access my server from outside to get a public IP? Is there a workaround solution?
