can we watch unifi tv using time broadband?
*
If you are referring to the Unifi TV app then yes. Have that installed on my Android TV and its' working fine with my TIME 1G.

The Unifi Plus Box should work too.

But the Unifi old IPTV box that uses VLAN definitely can't work.

Hi guys!! Im a new time user, 500Mbps package, they gave me the default router huawei HG8145X6 and dual band mesh WA8021V5,

Currently im only using the default router as I believe it give me enough coverage

Should i use the default router or set up my old router which is the tplink ax50?

I'm same situation as you, recently started to use TIME 500Mbps with free Huawei router/mesh then changed to own router TP-Link AX72.

For me they make no different, I stay in 1200sqft condo both free huawei router & TP-Link AX72's 5G signal just vanished in Master Room (2 walls in between).
The free huawei mesh do extend 5G signal to master room but it is slow and not stable at all so I refuse to use. (Approx. 50mbps, sometime no internet for a few secs probably due to keep switching between 2.4G & 5G due to not so good signal)

In the end I stay with TP-Link AX72 then split the SSID name and use 2.4G in master room and 5G in the rest of area.

Hope my experience help you to make decision.

For condo, mesh is almost a compulsory item if you want decent WiFi connection.

I went through a few mesh WiFi units and ended up on ASUS' ZenWiFi XT12 now which gives me almost 800Mbps at every corner of my condo.

For lower budget, the Deco X20 should be able to provide usable 5GHz connection everywhere with speed good enough for 4K streaming.

try seperate router and wireless (AP)

main router let it handle PPPoE and routing purpose, turn off the wifi radio.

then lan cable to connect to a access point for wifi signal. (use access point or router with ap mode or router connect with lan/lan with dhcp off)

2 advantages for this setup:
1. main router no need deal with wifi module heat
2. main router can plug in all the ethernet ports and the access point location can be more flexible.

Thanks for the suggestion my man, i am still monitoring and see if there is any issue by only using the default huawei router/modem, otherwise im just going to set the default router as modem for the fiber and connect to a router

Are you using same SSID for both 2.4 & 5G?
If yes you may still see good signal coverage but just the connected wifi is 2.4G therefore feel sluggish.

The ssid for the 5G and 2.4G has different name if that is what you are asking, so far i just use wifi for mobile, i have not test the network fully, maybe will see how it goes this weekend

Are the mesh nodes that come with Time internet any good? This one specifically: Huawei HG8145X6

We live in a large but old apartment and currently have some WiFi v5 Deco nodes that are only providing 80-120Mbps in most of the apartment.

We have a 500Mbit connection with Time but it's up for renewal soon.

Are the Huawei nodes that comes with Time internet decent?

Not sure if my comment helps, but previously I was using Unifi 100 mbps, my house is 950sqft, and my wife who works on another room always complains internet connectivity.
After we changed to TIME 500 mbps (comes with the node you mentioned I think), she didn't have any issues anymore.
Not sure its because of the speed we upgraded or we have extended the range sweat.gif

Replace with other more powerful mesh nodes, these ones are crap.

Okay, thanks for the advice.

They're basically offering us 3 free nodes if we renew our contract, so I figured if they were better than the current ones we're using that would be fantastic.

Buying anything better is pretty damn pricey. Not sure wtf is wrong with the electronics market in Malaysia, but mesh routers are 50% more expensive here than in Europe & USA, which seems to be a bit excessive.

1 x Huawei X6 (Wifi6 Router) + 1 Wifi6 Mesh Node , unless u go for 2Gbos then only u will have 3 devices.

Yes agree, viewing from price perspective, it takes longer duration too to hold on a specific price too before the price shoots down.
Anyhow if you want great performances, go for your own mesh systems, they are far more better than the given stock devices.
