That's because the modem you currently have does not support 2Gbps.

And, their SOP doesn't allow sending you a modem for you to configure yourself. They will send someone to provision the modem into their network.

Any idea what modem will they provide for 2Gbps? I guess this 2Gbps modem can also be used for 1Gbps plan if I decide to downgrade in future?

Apart from the 24-mths contract, an upgrade to 2 Gbps, you will need to pay minimum/compulsory upfront for RM 899 for their router even if you have your own 2.5 Gbps router.

TIME says that they will be doing some drilling during installation works. What sort of drilling? Isn't it just to change the modem and router only?

Contact CS to convert to bridge mode.
Before that, you must ensure you know the PPPOE details.

They assume the case where a fiber needs to be pulled into your house.

Hello

Just got myself Netgear RAX80 to replace my Huawei X6. As recommended by you let the RAX80 act as a router and X6 only work as a modem.
My question is, do I need to concern about X6 modem mode? as previous performance is very poor (modem+router). Should I change to Modem Only unit?
Any recommendation what brand is the best to match with RAX80?

If I'm about to change to a new model only unit, what spec should I looking for? Or all modem the same?

please sifu...

Hi, you will need to call CS to request them to load over the X6 Bridge Mode Profile. It's ok to act as an ONU only & your router will perform all the rest of routing jobs.

Thanks.

Hi, for your own equipment, it depends on the SI whether they wish to setup, and they have the rights to charge RM80/hour based on the rate card.

Thanks.

got an offer to upgrade to 300mbps at 109/month.
Look reasonable to me after being their customer for almost 2 years.

In addition, got a free new router as well.

I just got upgrade offer from 100mbps @ rm99 to 300mbps @ rm109

got mesh router too. need to do site installation.

note: just about 1yr tenure with TIME.

Time 300mbps upgrade offer for 2yrs for RM109/mth

forgot to ask cs, after 2yrs, what will be the price? maintain 109/mth too?

p/s: WA8021V5 sucks. since it's a wifi relay, wifi dropped to 50+mbps only. if connect direct to router, can get near 200+mbps when about 10feet again (in a room). donno why they give offer it. i doh.gif

After 24 months, back to RM129/month.

Full T&C here: https://www.time.com.my/loyalty-programmes/...-and-conditions

Edit: When I hit 20 months I’ll probably just take the RM99 discount offer. I have zero issues with 100mbps speed. But 3x speed for RM10 extra does sound enticing.

Hi may i check, i have turned the default wifi 6 router provided by Time into bridge mode and currently using my mesh wifi as router, which mean the default modem wifi router provided by TIME is only used as modem, however, i noticed I'm unable to turn off the wifi feature, is there anyway to turn it off so that it won't overlapped with my mesh wifi?
