Does time fibre stop providing (dynamic) public IP to subscribers?
Im on 100Mbps plan. After checking on wan router side, the wan ip starts with 10.xx.xx.xx. Have been using nas with dynamic ip for quite a while now, but only notice there are certain service stops working because of this issue. Can anyone else confirm this issue? thx |

Now wan ip running on 202.184.xx.xx. Took around 2 hours for this issue to be fixed. He did mention about some account migration and seems like my account is part of it, before they revert back This post has been edited by wirelessbuyer: Dec 4 2022, 12:07 PM |

After upgraded to 300Mbps plan from 100Mbps plan, the internet speed become slower, using fast.com loaded latency is higher than before.

QUOTE(mroctopus @ Dec 8 2022, 12:44 AM) hi all, can give me some advise? Hi, frankly, apart from the price, years of experiences tell us not much differences between the two if infra & installation are done properly and your apartment is a full FTTH building.i m planning to install fibre to my small studio apartment. currently lookin at unifi, and time. i prefer stability as i rent out my apartment for short and long term tenant. Another deciding factor is the equipment, get yourself a good router will save you plenty of hassle calling the customer service. Thanks. This post has been edited by jjj2: Dec 8 2022, 12:54 PM |

I just switched from Unifi 300Mbps to Time 500Mbps package last week. One thing I notice is when performing speed test, the speed fluctuates a lot, meaning it can fluctuate from 400Mbps to 510Mbps. It seems the speed consistency is not there. When I used Unifi, during speed test, the fluctuation was about +-5 Mbps. I am using my own router during Unifi and now, Time. Is this normal? Or my Time internet cable installation has got some problem?

Enquired with Time on the upgrade to 2Gbps. They said a technician must come to change the router to 2Gbps router with WiFi6.
I said I am already using a router with a 2.5 Gbps port and WiFi6. So, I don't plan to use Time router but they insist must schedule appointment for their technician to come. I asked can't you just upgrade to 2 Gbps on your side without coming to my house, seems like no. So will not upgrade for time being. |

And, their SOP doesn't allow sending you a modem for you to configure yourself. They will send someone to provision the modem into their network. |
