Call TIME, tell them you want to use your own router and ask them to switch the modem + router combo to bridge mode. They can do this remotely.

Once that is done, connect a LAN cable from the LAN port of the modem to the WAN port of your own router.

Lastly, reset your own router and do a fresh config. Just PPPoE username and password is needed. No VLAN / IPTV / special ISP config required.

As for the PPPoE details, you can get them from the selfcare portal.

Thanks for the detailed explanation and guidance. You have a great day ahead sir!

For both 100Mbps and 500Mbps, is there a cap on download/upload?

The system that is used to provide the TIME Fibre Internet service can identify very high bandwidth users and TIME seeks to manage the customer’s usage by throttling their bandwidth to a much lower broadband speed to ensure fairness to all customers.

u may check their FUP here

Hi, we need to know is that fiber being prelaid by your developer or is it laid by Maxis/TM into your house ?
If it's done prelaid by your developer, you can use back the same fiber, no more drilling or cabling.
If it's latter, then Time has to lay a new cable into your house, whether needs drilling or not, that will depend on your unit condition.

Thanks.

Hi, the 300Mbps is an offer for existing old customers whom are still using 100Mbps for more than 2 years.
If you are using stock router, the firmware upgrade will be pushed over, there is no need to manually do it, of course if you want, also no issue.

Moving to a high rise apartment, Time is available. I’m living with my wife only. 500mbps enough? She likes to watch TV, streaming shows and movies. While I have an Xbox, prolly be using GamePass or download big file games.

Should be enough right?

Saw option to upgrade to 300mbps in the selfcare.

Existing modem needs to be changed?
Installer needs to come over to set?
