QUOTE(jjj2 @ Apr 14 2020, 01:05 PM) Yes. I never click to activate. You can only use the free minutes to make domestic calls (fixed and mobile). International Direct Dialling (IDD) calls to 60 countries will be charged at a rate of 8 sen per minute while any voice calls made after the utilisation of all free minutes will be charged at 10 sen per minute. Any calls to numbers beginning with 1-300 will be charged at domestic calls rate, and will be deducted from the free voice minutes’ entitlement while calls to 1-800 numbers are free of charge. But the free call plan activated itself when I log in. |

QUOTE(nivla878 @ Sep 24 2021, 12:32 PM) I currently use one of the Deco M4 as Router. Surprisingly one mesh node can cover entire Condo unit of 1200 square feet but of course with WiFi signal degradation. Using 100MBPs plan. Throughput or max capacity of 2.4Ghz is lower than 5Ghz. I have both 2.4ghz and 5ghz band running speed test. While far away from router under 2.4Ghz band, I am clocking 20MBps with WiFi signal of 70%. Under 5ghz band, I am clocking 50Mbps with WiFi signal of 45%. In theory I should use 2.4ghz band for long distance but surprisingly I get lower speed even with a better WiFi signal. Not sure which one is the right network band to use. So a perfect 2.4Ghz may not achieve more speed than 5Ghz with half signal. 5Ghz degradation quickly with distance and obstacle, a low wifi signal when reach the bottom threshold, may cause intermittent loss of signal that affect the smoothness despite may achieve higher speed. Smoothness and stability is also a concern, not only speed. Experienced before a phone that has weak wifi reception, don't know it is lemon unit or not, always disconnect wifi intermittent when wifi signal become weak after walk a little far away or behind wall. The phone keep on switch back and forth between wifi and data, causing app not to load properly. For general normal use, good wifi signal > more speed with low wifi signal. But 2.4Ghz normally is crowded if living in condo or high density area, so need to check whether your area wifi signal is crowded or not. 5Ghz is preferred to have less interference. |

Saw option to upgrade to 300mbps in the selfcare.
Existing modem needs to be changed? Installer needs to come over to set? |

QUOTE(jjj2 @ Dec 22 2022, 06:14 PM) Hi, if you have successfully (fully) turned it to bridge mode, the wifi should be off. Just to share the experience last time when first installed. You can login to manually turn it off. Thanks. After request installer to use my own router, the installer called to centre to turn the free modem router given as bridge mode. But wifi from the given bridged mode modem still broadcast the wifi, need to log into the modem using the wifi to turn it off. Strange is, change the modem/router as bridged mode is not automatically off its wifi. Don't know it is bug or not. |
